for me Eren crying like that is just a continuation of him being one of my least favorite MCs in any story I have ever read. AOT is still one of my favorite manga/anime but it is in spite of Eren not bc of him. Literally every other character on the Scouts saves this story. All Eren seems to do is yell a lot, lose himself to his emotions, and then when things get tough for him he consistently folds and forgets all the promises he has made to other characters. And it feels like this never changes really. With an MC like this I actually find it hard to characterize AOT as shonen since he basically has almost none of the shonen characteristics that are popular/required for their MC. I think the issues with Eren as an MC is that the author essentially took a character that would normally be antagonist and let us see their life and try to squeeze and fit them into a shonen style story. I don't think there is anything wrong with writing a character like Eren this way except that as an MC you are expected to see more growth and less back pedaling through their journey.

2024-03-17 08:11:43 +0000 UTCFor the longest time, Avatar: The Last Airbender was my favorite show. I never thought anything else would dethrone it. This show managed it somehow. Seeing Eren's desperation in believing himself to be the problem he has so long been set on solving and his immediate humility is my favorite storyline. So many people have different opinions on Eren, but in my opinion, he is true to his beliefs. He only wants his friends to be free and safe and he is more than willing to sacrifice himself to do so.

I think what she was insinuating is that she was done being a sacrificial "good girl" and that she wasn't going to comprise herself, or kill her friend Eren, just to please Rod Reiss's, a absentee father, ambitions. In short, she was taking Ymir's advice to heart and finally living for herself.

2024-03-07 01:57:02 +0000 UTC1. When Eren's dad injected him serum? Its there in S1 Ep2 and he said the dialogue, an important dialogue which was shown again in S1Ep9. 2. Serum has to be injected through Syringe then how come Rod Reiss turned. Speculations are that he had a cut in his mouth exposing his blood thus licking the serum worked. 3. Historia's slam broke Rod Reiss back, and that is why Rod Reiss titan is like .. ... in Next Episode.

Because crybaby Eren is like eat me and save humanity and by refusing to do that she is gonna be a badass bitch and do what she wants, which is to save him. She is joking about who wants to do the bothersome task of eliminating all Titans.
