“Well, it’s been a pleasure to have this meeting with you, Donna,” Andy said as he finished dressing.

The woman could only chuckle, this was getting interesting, these past few weeks had been nothing but full of stress for her, and she was happy she found this young man to relieve some of it.

“No, the pleasure is mine, Andy, you surpassed my expectations, so, don’t worry, I’m going to get you a place on the mainstage, so, get ready and learn to DJ in the meantime, the event will take place the next month,” the older woman told him with a soft smile on her face.

“Oh, don’t worry about it…I’ve been DJing for some time, I’ll still practice though, I'm confident about my skills anyway, still, even though I have tons of original music I’m going to make more for the day the festival takes over,” the young man promised her.

“Is that so? Care to tell me where can I stream your music? I’d love to hear some of it,” the older woman was interested.

Andy on the other hand was surprised, he never thought someone like her could be interested in electronic music, after all, due to his experience as a performer of classical music, he had known people in the circle that don’t care or just hated that kind of music, in fact many of them don’t consider electronic music to be music.

“What? Is there something on my face?” She asked with a worried tone.

She was afraid Andy could have let a mark or something on her face when he was passionately kissing her while they were fucking.

“Your face is as pretty as ever but…It never crossed my mind that you would be interested in electronic music,” the young man was shocked.

“Oh Andy, you weren’t even born and I was already partying in techno and trance parties in the US, and I will never forget the fun I had in the hardstyle, gabber, and hardcore scene in the Netherlands when I traveled there for my doctorate, I was studying Bach,” she chuckled.

And for some reason, Andy felt like he was standing in front of the woman of his dreams, he had always wanted to date a woman who likes electronic music, he was so overwhelmed right now that he didn’t know what to do or say.

“Uh, Andy…Are you okay?” Her words suddenly brought him back to reality.

“Oh, yes Donna, everything’s fine, I’m just happy to have met another passionate electronic music fan, I love gabber and hardcore to be honest,” Andy said a little nervous.

“Well, then I guess we should rave together some day, I know a place that plays those kinds of music,” she suggested and he nodded.

“I’d love to do that, it will be my first rave as an adult though,” Andy said with a weak smile on his face.

“It’s a deal then,” she smiled at him. “Come on, I want to listen to your music!” She said as she hurried him.

Andy was a little embarrassed but in the end, he sighed and opened his phone to show her his humble YouTube channel which had less than one thousand subscribers.

“Oh, H9ck4ndY…Interesting choice of name,” she said with a curious look on her face.

“Well, I’ve always been a fan of hackers and cyberpunk concepts, I consider musicians and hackers to be similar, we both press keys and make cool stuff,” Andy said nervously. “So, you can say that I’m trying to make music for hackers or cyberpunk kind of music, it’s hard to explain, so please, just listen to it, I think you should listen to the last one I uploaded,” the younger man said with a hopeful expression.

“The song’s name is <<Cyber Heart>>, let’s see what’s all about,” she suddenly pressed play, and just by the start she was shocked. “You’re going straight to the drop without a build-up?!” She asked while she was completely shocked. “What tempo are you using?” she asked with curiosity.

“Two hundred BPM, that’s the BPM I’ve been using for years,” he answered without thinking.

“Okay, there’s some build up and I guess the intro is going to become the drop with a kick and bass, right?” Andy didn’t answer, but then, she just opened her eyes as wide as she could get them. “What the…I was expecting a normal EDM kick but then you turn this song into drum and bass?! This is interesting,” the older woman admitted.

This was the first time she was listening to music like this, she was seeing Andy in a different light now, she already thought of him as special but after seeing what he could do with his music, she was feeling more interested in him.

“This genre is called artcore…It’s a genre of electronic music very common in Japan, it’s basically drum and bass with lots of piano and orchestral arrangements but you can get creative too, look…Now there’s some dubstep on it,” she nodded as he explained to her what was going on in the song.

She was trying to hear him but the music was getting more and more intense as time passed by and just when she thought she couldn’t be more surprised, the song ended with a complex piano melody accompanied by some powerful drums and hardcore kicks, it was beautiful, danceable and brutal at the same time, she loved it.

“Wow…” That’s the only thing she could say. “Andy…They’re going to love you, I’m sure you’re going to shock the crowd but they’re going to love you, I’m sure of that,” she told him and he smiled.

“Thank you,” Andy couldn’t help but blush.

This was the first time he had heard a live review of his music, he has been uploading his music secretly because he only wants his close people to know about it the moment he gets big, otherwise if he doesn’t succeed he’ll feel ashamed of the work he has put in his music.

“I’m going to subscribe to your channel and I’m going to listen to all your songs while I work,” she promised him.

“Check out the playlist in my channel, all my thirty tracks are there,” he suggested and she smiled and nodded at him. “Well, I guess I better leave you so you can continue with your schedule, I need to work on more new music if I want to surprise everyone at the festival,” the young man told her.

She got on her feet once again and walked towards him to give him a soft kiss and soon, he kissed her back without hesitating.

“Yes, I know you’re going to do that, I have zero doubts you will get big, and when you do, I’ll be there to support you,” she said with a happy expression.

Andy felt a little embarrassed, he needed to get out of there before he fell in love with her, he just nodded and then waved her goodbye, the older woman could only chuckle as she saw how clumsy the young man was acting, and then after hearing a bit more of his music, an idea came into her head.

Later in the evening…

Andy was finally back at the apartment Anna allowed him to stay, it’s been a busy and strange day, after that encounter with Donna, he decided to spend some time in the city to buy some stuff, eat in a fast food joint, and most of all, get his monthly manga haul, he knew he wasn’t in the right position to spend too much money on things like this but the last volume of a certain manga he read left him hanging for more, once he entered into the apartment he received a message from Donna.

“101.5 FM on the radio now, trust me, you’re not going to regret it,” the older woman said and he did that with his phone, luckily his earphones were plugged and that was enough to serve as a signal for the radio.

And after he did that, his eyes opened, he couldn’t believe what was happening, his song, <<cyber heart>> was playing on the radio, and to say he was overwhelmed would be an understatement, he couldn’t help but feel the tears fall from his face.
