Harry was a little worried, he had arrived at the main Greengrass manor located in the wealthy part of Diagon Alley, however, he knew he hadn’t been the best person every time he spoke with this family, but he had no other choice but face the embarrassment that this was going to bring to him.

Still, if he wanted to save Daphne, he needed to forget about that stuff and focus on what was important, he knew that at the end of the day, Daphne’s mother would surely want to save her daughter too, so, they were going to have a common goal and they were going to need to work together to achieve that.

“Okay, here I go,” Harry said before gulping and without hesitating any longer, he knocked on the door.

He waited for a few moments before he knocked once again, he was worried there might be no one at home, but suddenly, the door opened and he felt like his luck couldn’t be worse because the person who opened the door wasn’t the Greengrass matriarch, it was Daphne’s sister.

“Potter!” She said angrily.

She was wearing a black dress and she had an angry expression on her face as she faced him.

“Ah…Good morning Astoria…You look good today,” Harry tried to flatter the younger woman but she wasn’t amused by his words, she was able to see through his facade.

“Ah yes…I love wearing black clothes every month because you know what? Today marks another month since you took Draco from me!” To say that the brunette was angry would be an understatement.

Harry’s eyes widened, he couldn’t believe his bad luck, he had no idea today was Draco's death anniversary, well it seemed like she mourned him every month, this was so uncomfortable, but he needed to figure out how to get the information he wanted to get from her and her mother, he needed to overcome this situation.

“if it makes you feel better…He died doing what he loved…Being an annoyance to me,” Harry said with a slight smile on his face.

He didn’t know why he was expecting her to laugh alongside him, but instead of doing that, she decided to slap him and soon, he realized that what she did made sense, still, he didn't regret a thing, killing Draco was something he would never regret.

Still, Harry quickly felt bad for saying those words, not because the slap hurt him or something like that, no, it was because he knew that it was going to be impossible to talk with her now, he couldn’t be in a worse situation even if he wanted to.

“Shit…” Harry said in a low tone.

He was getting ready to get attacked by the young woman once again an Auror shouldn’t do personal visits without an order like he was doing right now, that's why she had the right to attack him if she wanted to, he was technically breaking the law, so, she had the justice on her side in case she decided to attack him.

“Astoria, what’s going on!?” Harry couldn’t believe what he had heard.

He was finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel, he recognized that voice easily, that voice belonged to the Greengrass matriarch and she was walking at an impressive speed.

“Potter…What are you doing here?” Asked the older woman with a raised brow and an angry expression.

Her voice was so annoying and she reminded him of those old religious ladies his aunt Petunia used to hang out with to trash talk the normal neighbors, he knew the Greengrass family didn’t like him and the feeling was reciprocated by him (Daphne was the only exception), still, he needed to swallow his pride if he wanted to save Daphne as soon as possible.

“Good morning Mrs. Greengrass, there’s something important I want to talk about with you,” Harry finally managed to say with a serious tone.

“We have nothing to talk about Mr. Potter, please, get back and guard my daughter, otherwise I’d have to sue you for intimidation, as you can see, your presence alone brings despair to my younger daughter, so, please go, trust me, you don’t want to see me when I get angry,” the older woman threatened him but he wasn’t scared.

“Mrs. Greengrass—” Harry couldn’t finish because the older woman suddenly decided to attack him with her wand.

He easily dodged the attack before he moved at an incredible speed, and without her realizing how he did it, the younger man managed to get behind her, she suddenly felt his wand poking her neck.

“W-What?” The older woman asked with a shocked tone.

“Mom, don’t worry—” Astoria was about to attack Harry but in a quick movement, he disarmed her before he placed his wand at her mother’s neck once again.

The two women couldn’t believe it, he was just too strong, he didn’t even flinch, he just acted against all odds and now he had complete control of the situation, now they knew why he had such a reputation as an Auror, and now Astoria experienced by herself the same thing her husband went through before he died, Potter was scary indeed.

Harry was on complete alert but then he realized something, he technically barged into a home without an order, this wasn’t going to end well for him, he knows his superiors are going to be a pain in the ass once they know about this, however, his priority was Daphne right now, the clock continued ticking and time wasn’t going to wait for him to become friends with them, Daphne could be in great danger or worse, she could even be dead by now, Harry knows he wouldn’t be able to live with himself if that happened, that's why he has to hurry up with this.

“Listen to me you two…I know you don’t like me and that’s fine, I haven’t been the best person towards you two, and I’m sorry if my actions hurt you Astoria…However, no matter how much I try to pretend, I don’t regret killing your criminal husband,” Harry confessed with a cold tone.

No matter how hard he wanted to find Daphne, he wasn’t going to regret killing scum like the Malfoys, their deaths saved lots of innocent lives, that’s something Harry is convinced of.

Of course, the young woman had a sad and angry expression, after everything he had done to her and her family, he still wasn’t showing any signs of regret and that only made her feel angrier than she already was, she knew he was doing his job, but that doesn’t mean she’s happy with the outcome of that.

“I know you two would love for me to die and I can’t blame you for wishing that, but…Could you at least wait until Daphne is safe?” Asked Harry with a raised brow.

And soon, it seems like the women forgot about the hateful feelings they harbored toward the hero of the world and suddenly stared at him with shocked expressions.

“What are you talking about? Isn’t Daphne being guarded in the Greengrass manor located in the countryside?” Asked the mother with a concerned tone.

Harry suddenly realized that it was time to let them go, so, he helped the woman to sit on a couch and then helped Astoria to sit beside her mother too, they had preoccupied expressions after Harry told them that, soon after that, he sat in front of them.

“Listen to me…I want you to calm down because the things I’m about to tell you are serious…” Harry told them with a stoic expression.

Still, no matter how patiently and caring his tone was, if Daphne was in danger there was no way they were going to remain calm.

“Okay,” Astoria said in a scared tone and her mother nodded too even though she wasn’t too convinced about this.

Harry decided to think things carefully, the last thing he wanted was to bring more pain to this family before telling them what was going on.

“As you two know, I had to leave my position due to some administrative issue and that has been already solved, but today, the day when I had to come back to guard Daphne…I found an awful scene…The manor had been attacked and Daphne was nowhere to be found,” Harry finally told them without hesitation, the least he dragged this the better.

The two women were a little confused, they started to think this was some kind of prank, after all, someone like Potter who hates purebloods and death eaters so much wouldn’t hesitate to make such claims just to bother them.

“Y-You’re lying…That’s not a fun—” The older woman tried to deny the reality.

“I wish I was lying right now, ma’am…But that's the truth, I wish I were, but I’m not lying right now,” Harry said with a serious expression.

The women still couldn’t believe what they had just heard and he knew it was a little cruel to not respect their feelings, but he was short in time.

“Ma’am…I need you to tell me if you have spoken about Daphne with another person during these past few days,” Harry suddenly demanded.

The older woman was surprised by his tone, there were so many things she had to process that she didn't she didn’t know what to answer.
