There was a bit of tension in the ambient, the older woman and the younger man had been in this position and in complete silence for more than five minutes, they were supposed to discuss something very important related to their relationship status, yes that was the plan.

However, the idea of having a quiet discussion sounded better in their heads as right now they had no idea where to start, Andy had a lack of experience when it comes to romantic relationships, and Anna was someone who had been married for more than twenty years, but her ex-husband was only a year older than her, so, there was clearly a difference of maturity between her previous and current lover, so, by consequence, she needed to take a different approach when it comes to these kinds of situations.

“The weather’s good today, right?” Asked Andy out of nowhere and the older woman instead of being blunt about what she wanted to talk about, just nodded at him.

“Yes, the weather is good indeed!” She said in a fake happy tone.

They remained in silence once again and the situation got even more uncomfortable than before, it seemed like there was no escape, she didn’t know what to do to ease the tension and she was doubting the younger man could say something to make things better.

“Anna…Let’s be honest…What do you want or what do you expect to happen between us?” He asked bluntly with a calm tone.

Anna’s eyes widened, she couldn’t believe the younger man would be the one to take the lead, it didn’t make sense to her, but in the end, she was grateful he did this, so, she quickly shook her head to shake those thoughts off and her expression suddenly became more serious.

“Andy…You’re a good young man, I had a lot of fun with you but…I’m not ready for something serious,” she confessed in a disappointed tone.

And she was expecting the younger man to yell at her, throw a tantrum, or make a fuss about what she said and that was going to be the perfect excuse she could use to get rid of him, she could use that as an excuse to make him forget about her and what they did last night, she knew she had to act maturely and stop this even though she wanted to be with him, their relationship couldn't happen, for fuck's sake he was even younger than her children who were already on their last years of college.

“Okay…If that’s what you want, I respect your decision,” he said with a loving smile that made her feel a little guilty.

“What? Are you okay with that?” She asked a little worried he might be lying about his age and he could be one of those older people who look younger due to some rare condition.

“Well, I have a lot of questions because you say you want nothing serious between us, and that implies that you still want to get involved with me but you don’t want us to become a couple, right?” He asked with a raised brow.

The woman suddenly realized he was right, if she truly wanted to get rid of him, she would’ve told him that she didn’t want to see him again and that this experience should be a once of a lifetime experience, however, she had a great time and even if she tried to deny it, she still wanted to have fun with him.

“Yes…You’re right about that, I don’t want anything serious between us...But I still want to have fun with you, however…I don’t want to give you the false hope of us having a relationship that you might want, it hurts me but I won’t be able to reciprocate those feelings for the moment,” she said in a concerned tone.

“Anna…You don’t have to worry about what I want…I want you to be honest in what you want,” he said as he caressed her chin.

She couldn’t help but blush after he did that but he was right, she needed to think about her own feelings, she needed to put aside what he wanted, what the world expected of her, she needed to put herself first and after staring at his face for a few moments she realized what she wanted.

“I want to have fun with you Andy, I want us to be friends and have fun sex just like we did a few hours ago…I don’t want to get serious with you and I don’t want you to try to make me fall for you, so, if you don’t want that and if you don't want to see me again, I’m going to respect your decision so you could be free and search for someone who would want to go public with you,” Anna said as she caressed his cheeks.

And unaware of her, Andy was smirking in his mind, this was too perfect, the last thing he wanted was to get an official relationship, after all, he was planning to branch out, and he needed to get more older powerful women on his side and he’s never going to achieve that if he ties the knot with just one, she practically letting him have more women.

This was so perfect, the woman was giving him everything he wanted and all he needed to do was act like a good boy and give her what she wanted which was something easy for him to give her, this was the best possible outcome Andy could get from this situation, he was getting all the benefits and very few responsibilities.

“Anna…There’s nothing I’d love more than having fun with you and I agree with you in the non-serious part, the two of us are busy with our careers, I may look like I have my life figured out but after last night’s party, I’m going to have lots of work because I received a lot of music-related offers from the wealthy people of the party and there’s also the issue of me trying to find a new place to stay…” Andy said in a fake concerned tone.

If he played his cards right, he was going to be able to get an apartment in the best part of the city where famous people, influencers, rich people, politicians, and other kinds of important people live, and he was going to get it for free, he just needed to remain as calm as possible.

“What? You don’t have a place where to stay?” Asked the older woman with complete concern.

Andy smirked in his mind, regardless of her status as a politician, the woman liked to help the people close to her, he realized that when he spoke with her assistant who despite the fact of not being prepared for the job, just because she has been Anna’s friends for a long time, Anna got her a very well paid job as her assistant, she also gave her niece a position in her government, it was a useless position but the pay was good, Andy wanted to get some benefits too.

“Yes…Last night I realized that if I’m going to be serious about music, I need to be in an area where I could be surrounded by other artists and people from the same industry, and there’s this area in West Cactus where I’m planning to live, however, it’s been such a pain in the ass to get an apartment there…It’s a very exclusive location and they don’t trust someone like me to live there,” Andy explained in a sad tone.

“Is that the truth?” She asked with a bit of sadness in her face.

“Yes, I think they’re afraid I won’t pay them and most of all, they’re worried I could annoy the important people that live there, but trust me, I have the money I just need a bit of trust from them,” Andy lied and giggled in his head.

He had indeed tried to contact the people who own properties there, he wanted to try his luck but when he was told of the prices of the apartments in that area, he felt like wanted to die, the connections were worth it but he couldn't afford to live there, however, after investigating more about Anna, he realized he could use her to get a place there if she threatened one of the owners to give him an apartment for free…A politician can do that, right?

“You know what Andy? I’m going to help you get a place there and not only that, you’re going to get it for free,” she said in a happy tone.

Andy tried to look as innocent as possible and he and he pretended to stop her from helping him but she was having none of that.

“Well, if you insist…But how are you doing to do that? The owners in the area are very unreasonable,” Andy said with a concerned tone.

The woman could only chuckle.

“It’s easy…I’ll just let you use one of the apartments I got from the divorce settlement, my ex-husband had a property there, he hated the area so he gave it to me but it seems like it would be better suited for someone like you,” she said in a happy tone.

To say Andy was shocked would be an understatement, he was expecting her to use her political power to get him a place, but turns out she owned a property there, however, in the end, he was happy, and that was the outcome he was expecting even though the process wasn’t the one he thought she would use.
