Rohp tell them they are wrong. They are making wrong theories based on treasure Island and ishigami village. They are literally connected. 3700 years ago byakuya landed on treasure Island near Japan, because they aimed for the opposite side of South America to avoid the perty beam. The island was near Japan but not Japan, the two Russians left for medicine, maybe reached Japan where senku is but couldn't return. Eventually others made it there probably by accidentally following the same sea currents. But with no navigation to go back they created their own village, followed by bringing the stories and the main head stone which would lead them back to treasure Island where they landed in the first place. The Russians didn't go to China or wherever. And they are not coming back. All of this has been explicitly told in the story but they forgot or missed it. That small island is simply near/off the coast of japan
