With how loyal he’s been to Vought and more specifically, Stan Edgar. I think it’s gotta be the same Noir. Him and Stan Edgar seemed rather friendly in that flashback and after what happened to him. I would assume he’d be too scared to go against him and Vought because it almost got him killed last time.

It's been a year since season 2, right? Didn't they say at the start that he got better? Pfft, who knows though... between you and me, I don't think Translucent was really in that glass coffin.

It's been a while since I saw season two. Why might it not be the original Black Noir?

Its absolutely the same guy. I dont know where it was said that he died from Maeve ever. He probably just had a bad week in the hostpital and now is pissed. (as a side note, Starlight is throwing up so many death flags that she looks like a parade right now)

The flashback makes me think it will be the same person, but the comic version is a very different character which I'm hoping Stan Edgar switched in the comic version.

Judging by the comics and where the story could go, I will say black noir has been replaced by Stan Edgar with a more powerful inside man
