Someday I hope you'll try Gintama. It is truly a "dark horse" classic that will completely subvert your expectations as it drops you into a bizarre world of Historical Edo Japan in the wake of Western foreigners forcing the nation to open their country to them; except they're Aliens (called Amanto) who cause a huge change in the culture so it becomes a blend of Edo Japan AND the present day (early 2000s). It will start off as a lighthearted, slice of life comedy in which the first 2 seasons are dedicated to character introductions and World Building; making no effort to hide it's unique formula of fourth wall breaking and parodies to other anime, video games, and Western & Japanese Pop Culture. And if you continue to stick with it, you might be taken by surprise at how incredibly fast things begin to take a turn as you hit bigger story arcs that reveal a lot of heart, tragedy, and raw action that you'd never expect to find in something that primarily consisted of gags and parodies. In addition to the complexity and build up of the story/stories within the series, you'll also probably fall for this kooky cast of misfits and morons 😆. Gintama is probably one of the most diverse cast on level with One Piece, in which everyone is unique and can stand on their own without having to depend on the presence of the key characters every episode. You'll definitely find ones who you will absolutely love and root for as you watch the series progress, particularly if they resonate with you in some way. I know it's generally not for everyone, and copyright takes a bit of doing to upload reactions (though it doesn't seem impossible), but God is this series worth the journey. Once you take on Gintama, you will never regret it.

Its a shame because blind wave audience seems to trend younger so they are missing out on a masterpiece. Like don't get me wrong I like some of these newer shows like Dr.Stone or Ass class or Re Zero but they really aren't in the same league as Yu Yu Hakusho. I don't dislike Digimon Adventures, i think it's pretty decent and really liked it as a kid, but god it will be so fucking painful to get through for the guys, most episodes only actually work as enjoynment for little kids or with the nostalgia factor, the pacing is molasses and it's so long and formulaic. I really hope it wont get picked, i can actually see it getting dropped by the crew of their own volition

As an anime fan I get what you are saying but I kind of think how they are doing it now works best. They can't really have a separate slot for western cartoons, otherwise live action would get only two shows to make it even (2-2-2). That said, since they have two western cartoons running at the moment I would have preferred them make this only anime to ensure that the anime fans are happy. On the bright side they are starting to build up multiple anime that they will continue on the channel later (Vinland, My hero, Demon Slayer). It is also the reason I am rooting for Dr. Stone more than anything, so we have another ongoing show (Along with the fact that I personally did not enjoy AssClass or Parasyte and believe that Yu Yu Hakusho is too long to be a good choice)

I do wish this poll would have stayed anime only personally. Ide like yall to keep your variety. The last 2 anime blocks with the Guys got replaced with a western cartoon and since i dont watch Naruto i feel like there isnt much anime left here after ReZero ends if this block changes to western. Ide love yall to keep some degree of structure to what shows replace what in regard to live action, western cartoons, and japanese anime. I do enjoy watching varied content on the channel but i dont want to see 1 medium push out others. agreed, the choreography of the hand-to-hand fights is so well done. When in DB Super they said flying wouldn't be possible in the Tournament of Power, I had high hopes that we would be returning to mostly grounded fighting like classic Dragon Ball, but by about halfway through most fighters ended up "flying" by jumping around so much and high that it was basically back to DBZ fights anyway.

I was hoping Jojo's to appear at some point, it seems so popular all over youtube yet it has never been mentioned here on blind wave. I know some people don't like it, and the length is extremely long, but it would make for a great reaction. I still want YYH. As much as I like Gravity Falls, I really wish YYH could've taken over for HxH. Champloo was second for me just because I think they'd really enjoy it. Stone was third just because I think it would spark the most interesting discussions.
