Do you like the twist that Morgan Edge was Clark's half brother?

I like it because it brings a more family aspect to it where Superman picks his Earth family over his "real" blood relative

BigSteve Kasten

BTW Aaron, just in case you forgot. Remember earlier in the episode Morgan edge told his assistant to go get something prepared after they discovered the machine they used to turn people into kryptonian’s was stolen. She wasn’t there at all.

There's a lot of shows that would have done this and it would have left me disappointed in the execution. Superman & Lois has writers that constantly manage to impress me in the way they approach different plots and tropes. So far, I really like what they've done. I think the reveal and the performances have been good. After 10 episodes, the show has earned the benefit of the doubt for me and I'm looking forward to what more they do with it.

I like the twist because much like the john henry irons twist, they tell you who he is and you dont question it. But then later on we find out that they are someone completely different. I just love how they're making these twists so surprising by knowing that you wont question who they really are

Everytime this show brings something that I feel might be too much, they handle it in a way that it feels natural, fits the story and with really good writing.

Yeah, it didn't bother me that much except for it seems to be causing some confusion with some reactors. I always just brushed the difference off to Crisis, since there's been so many other changes. But, they could've just used a different name to avoid the confusion of being a character already played by a different actor and that Morgan Edge definitely wasn't Kryptonian.

Thadman

I don't really like the twist mainly because I don't like the trope that all Kryptonians that aren't from the El or Zorel family are egotistical sadists that want to kill puny humans and take over.

Sougent

I've only kinda recently gotten into Comics so I don't have any kind of attachment to the Morgan Edge character, and I also don't remember him being in Supergirl so doesn't bother me. I can see why it might though

Charlie Pears

I’m betting someone gets the entire Kryptonian consciousnesses implanted into them and they literally become The Eradicator.

Jack Mapstone

I like the twist. Most versions of Morgan Edge are pretty boring and generic for me. The spin this show is putting on his character makes for a pretty interesting villain with more layers.

Chaos T

The only thing i can think of is that the eradicator was focusing the kryptonian conciousness through x kryptonite and that is what gave them powers but it requires people who are sufficiently irradiated by xk.

James jackson

What happen to the Batwoman 2x16 reaction?? Just wondering...

LuciferTheFallenOne666

There is 5 more episodes left.

Darth Kal-El (Cory Weston)

Comic books are soap operas.

Darth Kal-El (Cory Weston)

Morgan Edge as a character pretty much fills the same role as Lex Luthor, so it’s no big loss. I have a bigger problem with doing the same twist for both villains this season.

Able

I liked it I honestly have no connection to the Morgan Edge character but I imagine all 6 of his hardcore fans probably don’t like the twist

Prince of Za Waurdo Over Salmon

I’m surprised no one has done this sooner

Matthew Cronin

Crisis is responsible he was in Supergirl awhile before it happened so that version no longer exists

c. meh. dont care one way or the other. i do like that he said "you will be eradicated" eluding to the eradicator which isnt just a kryptonian device BUT one of the many supermen to appear after the death of superman (steel, superboy, eradicator, cyborg superman) so maybe that will be morgan's code name going forward

rickie woodson

I’ll be honest I don’t remember Morgan Edge on Supergirl that well. Was he well received? Because if he wasn’t then it could have been as simple as the writers just decided to pick a new actor and say Crisis is responsible for the change.

Jjop017

It fits with the theme of family and we see clark struggle over it

spencer

Continuity is fine that Morgan edge no longer exists because he was before crisis he’s gone forever this is Morgan edge now

In regards to the change of actor for edge don’t forget Supergirl edge was pre crisis so ofcourse he can be different now

Don’t get why eric and aaron are confused where the other people got their powers the Xkryptonite is what gave powers to regular people

I liked it. Zod has been done so many times it has lost impact for me. I remember vividly my excitement at the Smallville reveal years ago whereas with Man of Steel, I thought it was fine. I appreciate this is an entirely new character that isn’t beholden to any comic book history. They can take some influence but can do literally anything now.

John M

Zod is overused

Ras_ AlHim

Yes this was a way better use of "family" talk because they were actually family. Unlike the flash's one.

Hunter R.

I dont like it.Steel make it redundant, Supergirl make it contradictory, his history is convoluted with Clark knowing nothing & a government having a Kryptonian affecting nothing. All for a twist that is dealt with basically same episode. If you want evil Kryptonian do Zod.

Doby Greg

I like the twist. And how you could see how Clark could go to his side. But that plot was fixed way to fast. Like I liked how they did the army Edge made but I just wish they made it go on longer. But idk they might make it come back from what the end of the episode had.

Hunter R.

It’s better than the Mirrorverse or the Speed Force “family”. Plus it’s plausible Kal-El’s mom had another family.

SonOfDarkHelmet

It definitely is a more unique way to go about it than just taking the plain old evil brother route. A lot of franchises have taken that route as well, but not a lot, that I know of, have been quite as unique, while still keeping the same level of righteousness, as Superman and Lois. I'm really enjoying this show so far, and cannot wait to see how the rest of this season pans out.

MarkIsDaBoss

I don’t mind him being Kryptonian but I saw no real advantage to him being his brother.

Cal

I love it this storyline feels like the Man of Steel storyline but with a different Kryptonian as the villain and done in my opinion a lot better

Christian Bolda

Sure a little a bit melodramatic, but I dont have a problem with it.

Joel

It was definitely unexpected but it is interesting new territory for a Superman story, as far as my comic knowledge goes I don't believe hes ever had a 1/2 brother from krypton and because of that it sold me

Kaleb A. Diaz

I honestly would have preferred him to be the regular Morgan Edge or at least a more well known villain from the comics but I don’t mind this twist too much.

I liked it, because it means that there can be a real Morgan Edge, still played by the actor that played him in Supergirl and continuity can still be saved!

SpeedyCat19

Yeah i like it because it's not a story I'm aware of so I'm excited to see what they do with it
