Stargirl 1x13 Finale - Poll!

Are you confident that the shows standards will remain the same when the show moves The CW or are you worried?

Comments

I'm worried, big Worried. It's not unlike WB to make a very good season one like The Flash for example and then cut quality and milk us of the built up good will until they hit us with an Olicity flavored season that nearly sinks them. (yes there's a reason for me using arrow and flash in the order I did... S1 Arrow< S1 Flash)

Crispy_Gin

I'm confident that it will be OK, the other shows they manage are up to a great standard and this one shouldn't be any different

Angus Whitehead

I can't imagine the DC Universe service will exist for much longer; particularly after they just gutted the staff. So there isn't really an option here.

ScarlettMi

I'm not necessarily concerned about this show, keeping its creative team, moving to The CW. AT&T, however, definitely has me all kinds of concerned for the future of things at DC, Warner Bros, and HBO. First they start diluting HBO's brand identity by naming their streaming service HBO Max and then then this firing move with DC Comics. AT&T buying Time Warner is probably going to turn out having been awful for a lot its subsidiaries before all this is done.

ScarlettMi

Yes, they did, but what does that have to do with anything regarding next season? You were paying for the streaming version, not the CW version. And since it's being made for the CW then it won't be too long to fit into its scheduled airtime.

ScarlettMi

confident about the story and performances because the writers and actor are unchanged but worried about the quality of the fight sequences because of the downgrade of budget. and it's my favorite part of the show so I'm extremely worried.

after at&t dropped the axe at dc I'm worried about the quality of all the dc shows

damon miller

Not worried at all. After all, Arrow, The Flash, DLoT, all maintained their quality from season to season.

The Amish Electrician

Honestly if I'm gonna compare it to other CW shows then the next season (maybe next 2) will be alright but then the quality will just decrease

Nathan Armitage

I imagine star girl will be their leading show due to the positive reception star girl has received. I hope this means they’ll give more budget and leeway for the crew to do what they want for season 2.

VanguardDuelist

One could hope that the budget and team will stay with the show with the move since it is still made under the same parent company, but The CW has such a terrible track record that I cannot help but be worried for the show's quality and integrity.

Artemis LA

The CW is more interested in shoving politics down your throat than making quality television.

Steven kershaw

What the hell happened to the pen

Worried cw shows for the past five years or so have been following a formula. I like that star girl doesn’t follow it and I’m afraid they will

Chris D. Jones

Supergirl lost Callista Flockhart in the move. This show doesn't work without Luke Wilson.

Fajen Thygia

I'm not worried at all some of the cw shows pretty great and if they keep up that great story it will be fine

Bryan Malacaro

I hope I'm completely wrong, and it turns out to be great on CW, but based on the CW's track record, I am very worried. I have a bad feeling that the CW will turn this show to crap, like they've done with just about every other DC property they have woefully mishandled, with the one possible exception being Black Lightning.

Quwykxz

I doubt it going to change

Kab

I think there will be a production quality drop for sure. If not in the second season then in the third. One thing I’m certain we’ll lose are the complex one-shots that we got at points in this season. They just don’t have the budget for it.

GollyJunior

Seems like the same team & already has the cw values : family friendly, diverse cast, nice messages. It should feel consistent with s1.

Doby Greg

People mentioning episode orders, I doubt Stargirl will change number of episodes. Just the sheer volume of Super-shows on the CW now is going to make it hard to have 'full' seasons for all of them. I wouldn't be surprised to see more of them turn into 'half' season shows to accommodate them all (and hopefully the quality of all will benefit).

Amazingchi

I gave up on the CW a long time ago....

DC Fanboy

I think they need to keep the episode count at 13 or around there. I feel like the quality and pacing is harder to achieve when there is 20 some episodes. So if they keep it down then I'm not worried.

I am kinda worried the cw seems like a step down in terms of quality than the dc universe service

spencer

I’m worried. I feel like Supergirl took a dip in quality when it moved. The effects in this show are great. Don’t think they’ll have the budget to keep it going on CW

Ryan O'Malley

I'm sure the writing and the dialogue will be just fine, as the same creative team is still there. I am a little worried for the production value, and the effects; generally anything that costs money could be a potential issue

SpeedyCat19

I know CW does shows differently than DC universe. Hopefully CW will understand why people like the show and allow the creators the freedom to continue the way they want it without restrictions. I also hope that Mike gets Johnny Thunders pen

ChiefChill

Geoff Johns is still behind it, a lot of people have this weird thought that the production is changing which it isn’t at all. Johns wouldn’t let the show that is honoring his sister be ruined by a change in where it’s primarily aired.

Gavin Mcfadden

Vety much worried

Dip602

Hey 2020 made us worry about most of the things in life, if anything let's try to be positive about this show.

Joel

Same writers and Geoff John's is staying on as showrunner, and there's no way he'll let the quality drop Also the most expensive set pieces like S.T.R.I.P.E are already built

Billyb

i heard that the people who work on stargirl are going over to cw to continue working on it!
