It's not that I don't think it will matter, but since she didn't drink it for religious reasons, I don't want this to have a negative effect on her or the team. I really don't think the writers will go in that direction. If it matters at all, I'll only be okay if it has a positive effect. I'm not a Muslim, but I think this kind of positive representation. especially in times like now, is really important.

I think her not drinking may somehow trigger something that will bring back OldZari.

I think it will as it may mean that the sisters might use her as a hostage to get the team to do what they want. Also I believe in the story point of chekhov's gun, where nothing mentioned is pointless

I get the feeling Gods can sense other Gods, so maybe the other fates will sense where they are and Zari has to hide the Loom for protection or something. I just feel like it'll backfire somehow.

The reason she didn't drink is only because of her religion, but I think it will matter in later events ; maybe the others will turn bad because of their new god status and she'll have to stop them, or she'll be the key to stop Lachesis' (Charlie's evil sister) shenanigans, or she'll die and the others will have to bring her back too (and maybe even bring back Zari 1.0 instead because her thread is a tangled mess like Behrad's because of time travel)

Zari is Muslim. Muslims are not supposed to drink alcohol. It's more following the practices of Islam. So, it's a thing for her character. But because she didn't drink from the chalice, I don't see it will be a significant thing later on

It’s the holy month of ramadan right now and drinking alcohol is considered haram (sinful) so for her character it wouldn’t make sense to drink it

It might not matter but it could be something that comes down to keep Behrad or Zari, I know both don't drink because of their religion.

I think in Legends fashion, they’ll end up with some time-shenanigans that breaks reality cause of the Loom - with Zari being the only one unaffected and having to fix it all. Also depends who they fix first - Behrad or Astra’s mother.

I doubt it. Maybe a line about how it proves she's not looking for power and Astra trust her for that.
