I think it's going to be the pseudo 'season finale'. For a few reasons, if they knew it was going to be the end of the season then it would be 1 hell of a cliff hanger, and if not the 4 episodes is a decent amount to try and find her. Also the realization of Harrison Wells being reverse flash was around that point of season 1.

I think Iris will manage to reach out over the computer next episode and Barry will immediately realize it's really her since Siri has been acting different, and he's just been accepting her explanations because it's Iris.

I have feeling it's gonna be the coming episode or the one after. Especially with the season cutting short I can't imagine they will leave such an important plot-point on the floor for the last two or three (the ones that have been moved to next year) episodes of the season, especially with both Carver and Mirror Master still around
