Its just Alice pretending to be Beth and Mouse is the one in jail. Because of what mouse said earlier in that Kate being a superhero cant be seen with a criminal, so Alice is going to pretend to be Beth in hopes to get her sister back.

After the results of Crisis, I don't think we'll be seeing dopplegangers from other earths quite as often as before. My guess is that after Kate confided in Kara about Beth, Kara had hope that Kate might see that version of Beth some day. When the new multiverse was formed, Kara's hope might have created a duplicate of Beth.

Well, both A and C, really. She's a doppelganger from another earth that's here because of Earth Prime merging. She also can't be the one from Earth-99/Conroy Earth because Kate died in that world and this Beth is acting as if she's alive.

Well pretty sure doppelgängers aren’t going to be a thing for a while. So since Kate helped recreate the universe she probably accidentally added a Beth to this world who wasn’t crazy and traumatized.

I think Beth will turn out to be Alice, while Mouse was posing as Alice earlier in the episode when "she" was captured. Though, I'm probably wrong and its crisis related.

Well after watching Supergirl the best bet is she was at that bar and got pulled to this earth. I am super worried for her though as beth will make her target no. 1 IMO

I'm going echo some others, but I think it has to do with the merging of the Earth's. Maybe that photo of Beth from Earth 99 was teasing more than we thought when we saw it.

I think it's some sort of gift. Perhaps from Oliver?

I think when the Paragons were rewriting the Earth, Kate was thinking about the Beth from Earth 99 that Kara showed her the picture of. So when the were creating the new Earth Prime, she accidentally created a version of Beth that was never kidnapped AND a version of Beth that is Alice, so now there are both.

I picked dropplanglers because that was so shows seems to go.. Or it could be instead of twins, their are triplets or it could be Hush ...

Before watching Supergirl, I just immediately thought for some reason, some doppelgangers were pushed into the earth during the merge. An unforseen side effect. Also, whatever earth she came from, she may have not been involved in an accident in the first place. That's why she's still Beth.

I picked Crisis (Earth Prime mix-up). It’s entirely possible that the paragons also participated in Oliver creating a new universe, with the thoughts and memories of the Paragons. Supergirl will have been watched by now, so the whole Lex stuff is exactly what Lex wanted - he’s not thought of as a criminal. Kate kept her photo from Earth 99, which had an alive, normal version of Beth and her. If she carried that throughout Crisis, who knows what could have happened. We could even get to see an Alice Vs. Beth Face/Off.

She's a glitch caused by Kate's emotions. It revived a nice Beth from the old multiverse into this world. Probably from the photo. I'm thinking now they are triplets Alice,Beth,Kate. Beth went away because when people look at he they remember Alice.

I think this may be a result of merging a couple earths into earth prime. Those who were on multiple Earth's now have dopplegangers on this earth

I think this allows Beth to be a regular character next season without needing to keep Alice. She'll have her similiar personality, and we'll get to see the actress continue to be on the show, but we'll be able to learn a different side of the character. I think it's a good idea and works. As to what caused it, I think it has to do with the Brainiac 5 situation on Supergirl. Something happened when the Earths merged together where it created doppelgängers but only for SOME people. I think we'll see something similar as well on the Flash
