The Witcher 1x4 Reaction Early Access!

Eric at least is watching on his own

Doby Greg

You gotta do Eric & Aaron watch Witcher later down the line if they are not watching it offscreen. Its a shame they are not here the same way its a shame you are not in Wathmen reactions.

Yeh we got that but the question is why did she come back? Most likely to save the baby as thats what she wants in life. So it does show she has a human side to her.

Ghostcat

This is why they should've included some of the other guys who probably would've picked up on stuff these three didn't.

MrSkarred

Is it just me or are they missing more details than other reactors? It almost makes me wonder if they were talking over some dialogue that didn't make it into the video. I noticed that Calvin was making so much noise right before the Geralt Child Surprise reveal that Shane couldn't focus on what they were saying.

Tim Xi

It really is. And no offense to any Buttercups out there, but it would even feel weird (to me) for a woman to have that name, since it's such a rare name in this time and age.

Tim Xi

Already watched it all the way through. Now i'm watching it back again, syncing up with your full length footage. Love it!

Cash Rockatansky

Yeah. It’s weird they are trying to correct Blind Wave from missing key details by missing the key details from the reactors themselves. It’s what happens when you grip too hard. Hahaha

Anthony Wickizer

They not missing out on the timelines Rick said straight up ok now this makes sense they are jumping back and forth between timelines lol

MustacheKash

Yeah I hope they read this or some mod tell them, because it feels like they're really missing the different timeline.

Victor Törner

I can Eric in the background! Watchmen tomorrow whoop!

Shae (maorismurf)

I wouldn't call it a "flashback", every character's story is just in a different time periods. -Yennefer's story in Ep 1-3 take's place 30+ years before Geralt, in this episode she's probably caught up to Geralt's timeline since she mention's it's been 30 year since she was assigned, but it's not officially stated. -Geralt's story up until now takes place "Ciri's age"+ before Ciri's story... There may have even been some passage of time between 1-3 and this episode, because in one he just meets the bard in the next the bard has already made him famous. You guys kind of missed this in the previous episode, but King Foltest and his dead sister and mother from Geralt's story show up in Yennefer's story in the banquet as children (He's even addressed by name), so based on Foltest's and Ciri's age you can get a rough estimate of the time differences of each arc.

Yen left the Queen because she said “how did you not see this coming you are supposed to protect me” and she left because she’s bitchy about what she said. If you think back to the episode where she’s training, Tissaia says to her if I assign you to a court to advise and then they say something mean to you and you act negatively from that then she would be the one to blame for letting yen ascend, so that there was showing how Tissaia was right about yen getting pissy at people that talk shit to her 😂showing that side of yen before she meets geralt, at least that’s my interpretation

I honestly feel like she is fictional bi-product of a successful Lannister/Baratheon match. Imagine Cersei and Robert realized that their power and sexual compatibility were more important than their petty feelings. Presto-changeo: Calanthe, the Lioness of Cintra.

Kelsey Roberts

The Queen is a Baratheon..

Phoebe

yeah this season only had 8 episodes so I think they rushed it a bit, maybe that's even why they had different timelines because they needed to tell three different stories in a short time.

MrSkarred

Definitely feel like the pacing is pretty fast. This show could definitely benefit from flushing out the world and It's characters.

Ruben Lopez

I was confused a little until this episode. Forward and back in time makes sense now. They did not mention that Ciri has the same power as her mother but they will cover more later i guess. :D

Alan Collings

Pretty sure Jaskier is actually translated to "buttercup" in english but they said it was too 'feminine' a name so they changed it to dandelion

MrSkarred

And they kinda missed how Lord Urchin became tied to Pavetta, he says in the episode he saved Calanthe's first husband (Pavetta's father) back in the days and claimed the Law of Surprise as a payment there... but when it turned out Calanthe was pregnant with Pavetta (which would have been the surprise as the father didnt expect it coming back from the war), he decided not to claim it until he randomly met her (or did destiny put Pavetta and Urchin on the same path ?) and fell in love with her.

As a book reader, this one and the next episode are the dearest ones for me. The two episodes that have the most massive impact on the entire story probably. Also, really curious to see them figure out the timelines in this one. ... Aaaaand not really, Rick... Shane was right, everything with Geralt and Yen so far happened "before". Ciri's timeline is the present, but Geralt and Yen's happen in the past until they all eventually converge.
