While i love the idea behind our main character coming from being a foundling with no clan to becoming the great leader of the Mandalorians. I don't know if he wants to lead, he seems more of a loner. I hope he finds a character in future seasons he helps to claim the saber for.

Mando wielding the dark saber would be really awesome but (bare with me) imagine baby yoda grows up as a Jedi/foundling and then wields it when mando no longer can 🤭

I believe he will, and it will unite the Legends lore with Canon lore. But this definitely means that Bo Katan is deader than disco.

Like Sabine, he will win a challenge by combat, claim the sword and then pass it to someone who is worthy like Bo Katan

Yes yes hells yes. He need it’s I needs it and baby yoda needs it to. Don’t know much lore so not sure if it’s possible but I hope he wins it leads the mandalorians then hides it away for about 300 years until a young padawan starts his training with his fathers blade.

I dont think so. I believe he will fight Gideon, win, and take it back, but i think he will go back and give it to one of the other mandolorians or maybe to the one mandolorian with the gold helmet.

Bo Katan is probably dead. And if she isn´t, she has already failed twice. Kinda doubt she would get much support to be the leader again.

It's pretty cool that by gaining his signet, Mando is now the leader of a new clan. Granted, with only one other member, but still. I think he'll get the dark saber from Gideon but I don't think he'll use it to claim leadership of the Mandalorians.

Nah, it's not for him. He's a samurai but wielding guns instead of swords. I believe Bo Katan will come back for it and Din will help her getting Mandalores back to fight, and Gideon backstory will reveal he was mandalorian before he joined the Empire and became Moff. Wouldn't that be cool? and it will be connected to political situation of mandalore. And he wants Baby power for himself. I hope to see him in Clone Wars :) cheers!

Kinda doubt the show will run long enough for that to happen. Not the way the baby ages.

I think if anyone gets to wield the Dark Sabre it'll be the badass female Mandalorian who does the armour and kicks Stormtrooper ass for fun. She has the abilities and the historical knowledge to be a leader and respected figure. Would obviously love to see Mando use it once though.

I don't think he'll have as much responsibility as Mandalore if most of the Mandalorians are gone so I don't think it'd put too much pressure on him at first

I say maybe he retrieves it, but then has to find someone more suited to reuniting and rebuilding the disparate remaining Mandalorians (Sabine? Paz Vizla?) to turn it over to, rather than claiming it as his own. Either way though, the Darksaber is awesome and I am giddy at the thought that we might see more of it in live action like this.

I’d say he will without a doubt wield it for a while during the show but unless he goes through some drastic changes as a character he doesn’t seem like the sort of guy to want to hold the position of ultimate ruler of the Mandalorians, my guess is he’ll either sacrifice himself towards the end or retire somewhere.

He'll claim it and pass it on to The Child.

I think he'll claim it, but probably pass it on to another Mandalorian. I hope he finds the smelter lady again and another clan of mandos, led possibly by a certain Fett? Maybe? I don't care if it's fan service, I'm a fan and I want to be serviced damn it!

It’s possible. If he finds Yoda’s homeworld they may teach him how to wield the darksaber properly. Side note: ERIC the darksaber is one of the coolest lightsabers in Star Wars history. I will not accept any darksaber slander here.

It’s hard to say at this point, but I doubt it. He just doesn’t seem like the kind of person who wants to or could shoulder that responsibility. He’s more of a grunt, just protecting his son and doing his thing. But he could end up meeting the person who will become Mandalore (like Sabine...? Please Dave, live action Sabine) and then help them take power and reunite the Mandalorians.

I voted no, but that is because i think Mando will defeat Moff Gideon and refuse to take it for himself. Also who made a deal the unholy pact that allowed this show to be so good?

I can’t stop thinking about Din and Boba teaming up to fight Gideon and then I see a picture of Gideon’s dead body in a field and the saber there and boba and din are at opposite ends staring at each other and the saber with their capes in the wind about to fight to be Mandalor That’s all I have to say...
