The Mandalorian 1x1 Poll!

Do you think The Mandalorian will turn in his bounty?

Comments

Not one, but TWO Holiday Special mentions!!! Favs and Filoni have got our backs!

Brian Barnes

Im Hoping that all through the 1st season the Mandalorian and his Little Buddy Go on A Long Hard journey and in the end of Season 1 he gets it home. So we see how many they are and what there Planet is like. That being Yodas clan.

Skeletor

I think him looking like Yoda or is an alien like Yoda triggered something to where he didnt want it killed. Also we have no way of knowing if he and Robot were working for the Same People cause they did say Alive then Dead but proof. Robot was told Dead outright.

Skeletor

If he does he was a real jerk to IG-11

Kaleb A. Diaz

I live in England so I don't get this show for a really long time ☹

I've been following you since 32K subscribers on the channel, and just became a patreon! I can finally vote on these things! -Love from Italy.

Morgan Allen

I hope he doesn't, and I don't think he will. Considering the longevity of Yoda's race, I think it'd be cool if this character is powerful in the force, and they're setting him up for appearances in films that take place years from now (post Episode IX)

ColtonG

Hell no! He's gonna keep that adorable little green gremlin for himself and be his daddy (I kinda wish that I hadn't type daddy but I did and I'm sticking with it! )

Fakudan

They better not let anything happen to that precious 50-year-old baby.

Yizing

Idk the runtime for the rest but I would assume the others are a bit longer. This first episode almost felt like a part one of a 2 part pilot.

Garrett Gee

I frankly just hope he’ll carry the little guy on his back, like Luke in Empire.

lewis is your patron

I think he will at first, but he'll see or learn something that will cause him to try to take the baby back

shai

I feel like he’s going to turn in the bounty, collect the metal and make some more armor and then rescue the baby

Babikir Abdelrahman

It's Lone Wolf and Cub. Of course he's NOT turning the baby in. This is why 'Gus' will be coming after him. He refuses to turn the kid in or kill it.

k9commander

If they hurt the baby in any way I will alderaan Dave filoni

Ricardo Buis

I don't think it will be a McGuffin at all. Pretty sure the baby will have some significance.

Erich Bomke

I can imagine that he says, he killed the baby by accident (during a standoff) and takes half of the bounty. By the way: I think IG-11 was hired by Giancarlo Espositos character.

Ethaya

I wonder if the fact that the baby is exact the same age as Anakin is some coincidence or another mystery

If baby Yoda is force sensitive then it would make sense for the Imperial Remnant to want it either dead or captured for their own uses. If he does turn the baby in and then rescue the little green dude then hopefully he'll take it to the new Jedi Academy for advice. That hasn't been destroyed by Kylo yet so could be an opportunity for a Luke cameo or some other expanded universe character to appear. My imagination is running away with itself already.....sorry

Reddevilman77

I think the Baby Yoda is the McGuffin for the season, I agree with everyone else, he hands it in then finds out what's about to happen and we're off to the races.

Crispy_Gin

He’ll probably turn him in, realize that the empire is planning on doing empire things with him, and then take him back, leading to that badass scene we saw in one of the trailers.

Username

I think he will but then he will discover what they plan to do with Baby Yoda and then turn against them kill them take the baby and run.

Darth Kal-El (Cory Weston)

No we’re gonna get a buddy cop series with him and the little green shit. Can’t wait.

Ryan O'Malley

SPOILERS FOR RWBELS I assume that the great purge is referring to what happens to the Mandalorians after Bo Katan unites the clans. They tried to fight the Empire and lost. The Armouer was the one to talk about the purge and she also mentioned the hard times for her people.

ElBilbo

I think he will, but then he will kidnap him back.

Julia 🍌

I think he will but once he does I feel as if he then investigate into what they want from the bounty and if its something he is against he will jump in and wreck their shit.

Big Ben

Wheres the reaction at tho

Miguel Estrella

Since we get hinted that he himself is an orphan of a purged race, and the final Michelangelo shot, he most likely sees himself in the baby Yoda. I feel like we are going to now see a bunch of other bounty hunters coming for him to steal the baby.

Erich Bomke

I don't want him to! so in my head canon, he "turns him in," gets the beskar reward, and then rescues him right back.

punkrockpollyanna

I don't think so. I think he is going to find some way to hide Baby Yody, and then try and get the rest of the beskar by claiming the Baby Yody is dead. Which will go south, and lead to Moff Gus Fring appearing in the show.

Gezmondo

*SIDE NOTE* I believe Shane is correct about the Great Purge referring to the Jedi being killed. Order 66 is also known as the Great Purge and it makes sense why the beskar steel was taken then. The Empire took over Mandalore (where beskar is mined) after the Purge so Palpatine most likely mined all of the beskar for himself hence why Werner Herzog's character has so much to offer Mando in the first place.

Seany McBuckets

I kind of hope he keeps it and raises a little Yoda as his son. Anyone else?

Matthew Cronin

He'll try to. Something will go wrong.

Fajen Thygia

That was the cutest thing I've ever seen and I hope it's Yodas baby

Since the trailer shows him with newer armor and fighting stormtroopers, I think he doesn’t turn in the kid, steals the beskar, and the consequence is fighting the imps.

Jon Mercano

I thought the episodes would be longer than 39 minutes.

I think there will be a scene indicating he feels conflicted about it, but will ultimately turn in the bounty for the sake of getting that beskar. He'll come to regret it later though, and perhaps try to take Baby Yoda back from the imperials.

It's the most classic western trope aside from a duel with a tumbleweed in the background: wanderer gets hired by shady bad guy, wanderer finds out the bounty is an innocent person, kills the help and goes on the run from bad guy.

Darth Skhorrn

I think he really wants the beskar metal so he’ll try to swindle his client for the rest of the metal.

Bryan Merino

Yeah i think he will he just killed the IG-11 because he wanted to take it to the scientist alive also gotta get that armor upgrade at any cost

Dip602

One of my favorite type of stories, where a silent rogue protects a young child from a large threat, in STAR WARS!!! I'm in, he's definitely not giving up baby yoda

Joel

Hard to say, maybe he will try to find more information as to why the droid was there to kill and only kill it and maybe how important the young one is

SPARTAN 465

Given that he shot the droid to keep it alive there is no way hes giving it to the remnants of the empire. I cant wait to learn more! I have spoken!

Doco56

I think he’s going to try and find out what the hell the imperials wanted with a bounty that looks like a baby and he’s going to try to find out why the IG unit was sent to kill the bounty and why he was sent to capture it

Christian Bolda

no I think he will lie about it finding the target

spencer

Man I cant decide. He seems to have a soft spot for kids and a bad opinion of droids....he could turn it in but he also could not, and follow that bad guy with a good heart trope...

ObligedUniform

That mini yoda is way too cute to turn in.

Josh Bornman

The parallels between the flashback showing the Mandalorian as a child and baby Yoda makes me think he connects with this child being left by itself. There was even a similar shot showing the Mando as a kid reaching his hand out like the baby Yoda.

Starkiller100

I think he'll take the bounty to then but not turn it in. He will either fight against them or do a bait n switch and Leave
