Evil Clara is what got me into Doctor Who. I knew the Doctor had companions so I thought she was going to be the one who turned evil and the Doctor would have to go against her. Didn't end up being that, but still fun.

I mean he already has an Oscar from a short film back in 1995. So I'm pretty sure the Oscar decision board already knows of his acting chops.

Show this piece of acting art to the Oscar decision board and within 5 minutes Capaldi would be the newest recipient of one. Probably his best performance of any character/role he has ever given.

The Speech. Like Eric, this series made Twelve the favorite Doctor of many Whovians. Who would have thought it? This old dude capturing the hearts of so many young ones. Capaldi .... the dragon slaying dude!

The rest of the story is ok. But that speech is enough to make the whole great. It's the best of new who and always gets me. It's not just a doctor who it actually speaks well to life and Capaldi intensity and tiredeness is just the perfect mix to sell you about war and games and the difference.

That little smile he gives her at the end of his monologue though. So much said in just a 4 second close up shot on his face. My favorite Dr Who speech was Matt Smith on Akhaten until the day I saw Peter Capaldi show off his brilliance in this.

And this is Capaldi at his best, and Moffat too, firing on all cylinders here!

I've watched this episode so many times, and specifically that speech and every time i tear up a little bit. This episode is one of my favorites, and for good reason. That being said, I cannot wait for Heaven Sent.

That monologue is why Capaldi is my favorite Doctor. Joining the Waveriders today is a really good birthday present to myself. :) Love your work guys.

In relation to the we have done this 15 times. I assumed that the revolution hasn't happened 15 times its that when he is talking to clara his speech may not have worked and he erased their memory and changed the speech. And kept erasing their memory until the speech worked thats why he said we've already done this 15 times

There were two Osgood's in the Day of the Doctor. One was killed by Missy, one survived. That's the one we see here.

Been waiting for this one, probably my favourite speech in all of television, even if in an otherwise slightly underwhelming story. And now only 3 weeks from my favourite Doctor Who episode of all.

Yes! The wait for this was so worth it. I knew Eric’s reaction would be worth it. I was emotional just watching Eric get emotional during this. I love all the crew’s reaction but I know Eric shares that deep love of twelve! Best. Speech. Ever.

Capgras syndrome
Capgras syndrome is a psychological condition. It's also known as “imposter syndrome” or “Capgras delusion.” People who experience this syndrome will have an irrational belief that someone they know or recognize has been replaced by an imposter.
