2019-08-22 00:59:48 +0000 UTCShane is right. If the character will be important to the plot the show will make sure you know if they are and what their origin is. As sad as it is most of the characters and heroes we see are just minor or unimportant characters (right now) that if you do not know it is fine, but acts as cool cameo or fan service for fans who know DC lore. I suppose it helps make the world feel fuller and show the characters have adventures and lives going on even if we do not see them. I do wish some characters would get some spotlight like Tim Drake.

It isn't at all important to know who he was, you don't lose anything for not knowing who he is besides you question who he is.
