2019-08-17 17:54:53 +0000 UTCThere's no lore to ignore, though. The Daleks didn't say Exterminate over and over for a pre-established reason; it was just the thing that they did. The "reason" in this episode answers a question that nobody asked, but didn't disrupt the idea of a Dalek at all, really. The Mercy retcon is a "huh, interesting" not a "This ruined Daleks for me" thing
