Mid-video update + Q&A: (It's Somehow Not The) Apocalypse edition

Greetings everyone, and welcome to another mid-video update -- the time of the month for ramblings about the life and channel, video plans, and space for the Q&A segment! It's been rather quiet on the personal end of things, besides trying to better manage my time so I have the opportunity and energy to watch/read/etc things outside of work. Which, on that note, Star Wars Andor is Pretty Good!

Anyways. The channel side has also been quite well, especially with the performance of the newest video. I was expecting a video on what is basically KEY's own "sonic.exe spooky horror" to do well, but it's become the second best performing video on this channel in the first week of release, beat only by Ai Mai Misuto (which still STUNS ME with how well it did, good god). So, thank you all for that, I am quite happy to see people are enjoying the madness!

And likewise, thank you everyone for the rather glowing response to what was brought up in the last update, with regards to shifting this channel to an as-complete schedule. I was worried that people would lose interest if these videos weren't released very consistently, so it was a massive relief to see so much support for moving to an as-finished schedule. While I'm still unsure when I intend to make the shift, particularly due to some opportunities in the works for the channel for this year, it helps me a lot to know that y'all (or at least most of y'all) will continue to support me no matter what. When I have more to say on it, I'll let you all know, Thank you. <3

Okay then, let's talk about video games!

July: After years of intending to do so, I'm finally getting to a game written by Setoguchi Ren'ya, and perhaps his most famous game too -- Swan Song. I have heard many things about this one over the years, both good and bad, but nothing prepared me for what I was actually getting into... nor just how much I think people have mischaracterized the game over the years. I was blown away by just how hopeful and positive the story ends up being despite being a VERY dark apocalypse tale, and I'm very excited to give my own takes on it. Game is completed, scripting in progress.

August & September: Following from the last update, I'm still batting around ideas on what games to cover given the current sponsor. Tousui Kitan is looking pretty likely for at least one of the months, since it's an oft forgotten game by an important developer (KeroQ of SubaHibi fame) which has strong ties to SubaHibi thematically. Apparently in terms of setting too? So that seems neat.
But besides that, I'm still giving thought to Tsui no Stella and maybe Suki Suki Daisuki. I realize I've teased the latter for a VERY long time now, and I haven't really followed through because my initial attempt at playing was so frustrating between technical issues, the highly repetitive soundtrack, and the rough start, that I got put off from it. I also am slightly terrified to open the entire can of worms that is yandere as a trope and what it entails with mental health discussions. BUT, it's also the prototypical yandere game, and I feel that warrants exploration. It's also not terribly long, which is nice...

THE LIST: More things have been added, yippee!!! And more is always appreciated, ESPECIALLY games under 10 hours. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1WF_2ADCa5UY63yygiElEyGr35UPCf-jfGivuHAeaiqs/edit?gid=0#gid=0

Alright, that's about all for now! As always, feel free to leave comments for the Patreon Q&A below, and I'll get to them as I can. I have a feeling this video is going to be an hour and a half long at the least, so there should be pleeeenty of time for answering things there.

See y'all soon! o/

For the QnA: As a death battle fan/vs fan in general, I wanna know if there are any interesting visual novel character matchups whether it be hero vs hero or villain vs villain or even villain vs hero. Which visual novel matchups would be cool to see in fan made works or even official?

For Q&A: Imagine your emigration story went exactly the same way it did (husband in the destination country included) except for the country being anything other than Brazil. Which top 3 countries would you choose?
