It's loved for what it did when it came out. Obviously now, if you take it as is, it's not as special. It still has beautiful animation and an outstanding soundtrack and a mastery of ambiance. However, in my opinion, Samurai Champloo is a better version of this show.

To think, I saw this anime 20 years ago. While I don't exactly remember who recommended me this series, I do remember downloading this from DirectConnect and it took whole WEEKS just to find the right server with all the episodes. Aaah, the good but crappy old days. :')

I think they would have done MHA when its dub starts regardless. Similar to how they started attack on titan season 3 part 2 when the dub started even though mob had taken its original Friday slot.

Hey, I felt that way about Cowboy Bebop for awhile now. “How can this older anime compete with all the hot anime?” But it did. If Gurren Lagann was on a poll, it means it was high on the master poll and if it continues to show up, it means it is doing well, just not winning *yet*.

Was holding out hope for Steins;Gate, but I'm happy with Cowboy Bebop.

i cant watch this show and i dont know why. I just never get into it i usually stop around the 3rd or 4th episode.

People complaining over which anime should have gotten picked and I'm over here by my lonely hoping we would cut down on the anime reactions :(

I couldnt disagree with you more. It might not be a great reaction show for you, but with the love these guys have for Firefly and fight choreography, this was actually the best option of the choices. This show is also far from overrated. Its deserving of every bit of praise that its gotten.

Cowboy Bebop is a great anime for BW to watch y'all. One of the most legendary dub VAs for the MC and a banger soundtrack. It's also basically Firefly the Anime, so there's that. They'll react to our favorites eventually :).
