Agents of Shield 6x4 Poll!

What are your thoughts on Agent Keller?

Comments

only commenting as it pertains to the first 4 episodes dw: but i think his death is very consistent with the overall feel for the season- that it really feels makes me think 'wtf are these writers doing' (got paranoia perhaps in that even the best writers could let you down)- silliness and humor at the expense of any plot advancement. severe incompetence by shield itself. why wasnt that bat contained in a quarantine? just how dumb and inexpereinced is benson - why is there no consistent tone to the season its all over the place, and fails to deliver on a death that i think was intended to make us feel emotional, but we have no attachment to the character. and yoyo is eaisly the weakest actor on the entire show- so damn...they failed hard- hope it gets better from here. its only 4 episodes so ill remain hopeful. but damn. rough start

Zach Sonnenblick

I wanted more, but not in the "this is a waste of a character" way, in the "this is an an effective choice because I like this character and him dying evokes emotion" way.

Nathan Mortenson

I liked his character and thought that it could add some interesting dynamics between the characters but am not overly crushed by it, also was hoping the poll would be about if you would take the 2 percent to keep quite on the hot daisy framework, btw i would have

Kaleb A. Diaz

I would have liked him to stay but I see what's going on. The team was so small they needed these random characters to fill numbers, problem with that is they can't all be random agents who joined. They need a little more, so you get Kellers connection to yo yo, which is fine but the issue is why kill him off so early it makes that entire plot line feel wasted. Build him up, make us be like, Yh we want this guy around. Then kill him when his arcs mostly complete, and we truly care.

Ethan Prendergast

I always love the changes new recruits bring to the team dynamic (Bobbi, Mack, Hunter...), so i'm sad to see Keller and Fox go so fast. I would have liked a bit more, but i think they did a great job with the characters despite the small amount of screentime to make me feel sorry for them, thus making their deaths impactful.

Keller was just a good dude. RIP to the Rooks 🙏

STEAMY_DA_GOD

I don't watch AoS for love triangles. So good riddance.

Ram

I wasn't super attached to Keller, but his transformation and death were disturbing and I did feel sorry for him. Ultimately I'm fine with how much we got him

IrishNexus

The actress is the showrunner. It was absolutely on purpose.

Fajen Thygia

I'm ok with it. I liked Keller and would have been fine with him staying on, but as soon as the line came up that Mack still had feelings for Yo-Yo, I suspected he was going to leave the show at some point. What a gruesome death, though...

doc1990

I would have liked more development as well as see him talk about Yo-Yo with Mack. I really kind of want backstory of what happened with them, and we could still get that. I feel like Mack will try to help her get through this loss now, or even May for some interesting scenes.

Andrew Courtney

I was more annoyed by Deke's girlfriend to be honest, though I'm sure they did that on purpose.

It really felt right from the start he'd been introduced as a third wheel; his and Yoyo's relationship felt forced and unbelievable, and really only served as a device for Mac and Yoyo's character arc.

Axis 77

Figured he was a mark, didn't see him lasting long.

JevCor

He seemed like a good dude and I'm sad to see him go, but I think this might be the best way to find some common ground between our heroes and our "villains". Now that our heroes have seen first hand how dangerous this bat-things are... they might be more receptive to the "villains" mission, which seems to be exterminating them.

Steve

Sorry Keller, but better you than Yo-yo or that black woman.

Gezno

I would have liked more because he seemed like a good guy, and it would have been nice to have a new recurring SHIELD agent stick around for a while. But his death was beautifully (and horrifically) done so in the end I'm okay with it.

Gaëlle

I'm probably biased since I really like the actor (Nathan from "Haven") but I was hoping he could stick around a bit longer.

Marvelous JJ

For how long the season is, this is good. Anything more would have prolonged every drama

Flashback007

He shouldn't have existed. Let a normal agent or Piper/Davis die. It would be more natural than making a boyfriend to kill quickly.

Doby Greg

I didn't really feel anything for this guy. As he was just introduced just to die.

John FD Lobrano

Yoyo could've prevented his death easily, but the writers are a bunch of idiots. Apart from that, never really cared about him.

Lonahora

This is fine. All the new guys seem to be there to kill. next will probably be the doctor with the face and emotional range of eeyore.

Spacer Mcspacer

Should’ve aborted

Gavin Hardiman

Oooh, shiny.

The Amish Electrician

He's no ghost rider

YoYo & Mac forever. I didnt need alot of Keller, but they didnt have to kill him especially like that.

Joel

I liked him as a character and would've liked more but this is fine because of how it effected the audience and the characters in my opinion. Also great reaction guys. :-) <3

Supermonaman

This was fine. I liked the actor but i felt like he was just a plot device to cause tension between YoYo and Mac

Ryan O'Malley

I mainly wanted more for Yoyo's sake. I felt bad she had to kill someone she cared about. Or that she couldn't save him, since he was already going to die by that point. These poor agents just have terrible luck with relationships.

Ian Vega

I wanted more but the way he died had the impact on me that the show wanted to have i was very sad
