I really think it was Eve, trying to protect Lena, so I voted for Lena, but, I honestly wouldn't put it past Lena either.

1st theory: It's Haley. It is meant to motivate Lena to accelerate human trials of her human to super conversion tech. 2nd theory: It's Lena's assistant. Told to basically shut up by Lena when she had info to report on his investigation into L corp, she's taken the initiative to deal with the problem on her own.

My first 'tin foil theory' thought was Eve trying to take some heat off of Lena but that would obviously do the opposite and put more speculation onto Lena 🤦‍♀️ but then the more I thought about it, like how James would be the prime choice to save and use for Lena's experiments, it just might be a way for the 'Tomorrow might be too late' line to make sense, having Eve do something for her boss and to save her credibility with the DEO by getting her a human experiment at hand. I just want more from Eve's character if you cant guess already

*spoiler* I think it's Lena, because, they're trying to throw us off by showing her before James. She said in response to Ms. Tesmacher, "tomorrow might be too late." Not necessarily meaning the very next day, but the future. James was shot in the spine. Lena just so happens to have a thing that could fix that. Also, James really is the most trustworthy human to be able to get superpowers and not abuse it. According to the show anyway. But low-key and for reasons, I think it's Lena.

I think it's someone else entirely. Based on certain connections to Supergirl and Superman, it would make the most sense for this person to target James especially since he's been helping the aliens which is the exact opposite of what this person would want to happen.
