I don’t think he’s a bad villain. He has certainly grown as a threat from when we first met him. I am just ready for them to move on to someone else now or at least take a break from him. He has been around for a while now and there are only so many close captures or kills that are believable before everyone starts to look incompetent.

I am not sure he let himself get captured but I think he at least has contingencies in place for if it did happen. I am ready for him to be taken out though. Bring on a new villain instead of the Dragon.

I don’t think he meant to be captured. Usually I would think Diaz plans these things but I think this time he didn’t want to be caught. But obviously now we need him caught to get Oliver free

Everything points to it. The only thing that throws it off is that Diaz was ordering an enact, saying he wants to watch the fireworks. So, it's uncertain. Also, people have to lay off Diaz as the villain. He is way better then Ra's al Ghul, Damien Dahrk, and once he killed Cayden James in season 6, the season got a lot better. Plus, Kirk Acevedo is amazing as Ricardo Diaz. He is definitely not better then Slade or Adrian, but still a better antagonist then Ra's al Ghul, Damien Dahrk, and Cayden James. It seems that the fans believe if the antagonist isn't better or as good as Slade or Adrian, that makes them a terrible antagonist. That isn't true.

If it wasn't intentional then it was very anticlimactic, and they better have a hell of a replacement for a villain. ;)

He wants in Jail with Oliver so That he can Kill Him. I think the friend in jail could be working with Diaz in order to keep tabs on Oliver

I sincerely hope so, otherwise the buffs he got were useless. And I hope we get rid of him soon, the show has been making Diaz look like a big deal for some time now and I feel like it's forced. We need a better villain.

I don't think he did but i am sure he must've had a plan in place just in case it happened to get out of prison. PRISON BREAK!

Maybe I'm being naive, but I don't think he did. He was caught pretty off guard when Green Arrow Too showed up, and I don't think he was prepared for it. ALTHOUGH, he didn't seem too upset that he was caught. So who fuckin knows really.

No way Diggle knocked him out, he's faking to set something up. Perhaps to get locked up with Oliver and exact some revenge.

No I doubt it. I don’t see how it could be part of his plan; especially since he looked so pissed off at Laurels plan to free Oliver. However, I bet he’ll make it part of his plan.
