Melron Reacts: Doctor Who 10x13 Reaction Early Access!

Well great now I'm crying about this episode again. The Christmas armistice always gets me, but Aaron breaking down about Clara got me right after that as well, and then I was just a mess until the end. FANTASTIC. 😭 I mean, it was a great reaction, from what I could tell through my tears (and laughter. I really do think this episode has a lot of good funny moments outside the tear-inducing ones). This entire catch-up series has been such a treat, and I'm so glad both Aaron and Melanie enjoyed s10. But now, as always with Doctor Who - ONWARDS!

Melron -- You should watch "An Adventure in Space and Time" -- a dramatization of the first years of Doctor Who in which David Bradley (the First Doctor here) plays William Hartnell. It aired the night before Day of the Doctor and is a good companion piece to this episode.... Something to react to before Doctor Jodie...

I still believe this doctor should have the proper 12th doctor. Everything about him fit so perfectly with being the last one. And all you need is for 10th to not regenerate twice or my favorite solution make the war doctor an older 8th. A truly great episode and a great farewell.

Not only was this Moffat and Capaldi's last episode it was also Murray Gold's final episode which is likely why we revisit a lot of old music as the episode is ending.

Everything that happens after the regeneration was written by Chris Chibnall, the new showrunner. So it was his decision to have the Tardis blow up, and The Doctor fall out of it. Moffat had no say in it.
