Will there be a reaction to Many Happy Returns or are we going straight to Series 3?

Do we know if the abominable bride will be reacted to? I know it is between 3/4 and not 2/3 but if they are unaware of it now they would need to know.

It's a pretty common thing in Victorian times though - they were really into spiritualism, ghosts, etc. And a really, really odd obsession with not being buried alive - people were buried with alarm systems so they could alert people if they 'woke up'.

Martin Freeman's performance in this episode is incredible and really the entire episode hinges on him being able to make you feel for Sherlock and boy does he. The amount of emotional weight he packs into the cemetery scene, you go from sad to tears in just a few minutes, it's like a gut punch. I kinda hate how they showed Sherlock at the end not only because it takes away some of the mystery but it undercuts the emotional ending.

It’s implied in the episode that mollys help was faking the ambulance call to get John to go see Mrs Hudson and not stay around the hospital

I think Rick's right. Iirc, Queen Victoria herself asked ACD to bring back Sherlock Holmes. The real life ACD is so bizarre with his spiritualism etc - diametrically opposed to Holmes' ultralogic.
