You'll note that this "change" of controlling Hodor and breaking his mind *IS* the reality we already saw. So it's a version of time travel where his "changes" are already destined to be made because they already happened.

2018-07-01 21:11:06 +0000 UTCJust a point, as someone with PhD in mathematics... zero is even. An even number is any number which can be written as 2n, where n is an integer. As zero can be written as 2(0), and 0 is an integer, zero is even. Oh, and also zero follows all the rules of even numbers (an even plus an even is even, and even plus an odd is odd, etc...) So, I don't know what Rick was saying at the end...however. A lot of modern math is done by saying "Here is a list of things that are true in normal math, what if some of them are false?" And then seeing what the result of some axioms being false is. i.e. Group Theory is basically what you get if you say that multiplication/division/exponents...don't exist, and all there is, is addition/subtraction. So, it is possible that there's some weird idea that Rick saw somewhere, which changed the rules for even/odd...but I've never heard of it, and in mainstream/normal math, zero is still even.
