Rose didn't help the Doctor grow in any substantial way? I'm sorry, but no matter how you feel about Rose, that's absolutely ridiculous.

Clara is the first female companion to really and consistently take charge during adventures. That sort of thing upsets people. Because reasons. Admittedly, she could do it too much, but that’s because she’s not a perfect character, which just makes her more interesting. I’m glad that Moffat gave her a fair shake once 11 got his self-indulgent finale.

There have also been things that aaron hadn't noticed before but has noticed in the other reaction series. I also find it funny that there are things that I noticed the first time that aaron hasn't noticed in that reaction series.

Sorry, but I just can't stand Clara. I know a lot of people like her, but I almost quit watching the show because of her. I mainly stuck around because I like Capaldi as an actor. I prefer the RTD era companions Rose/Martha/Donna, but Bill is a lot of fun too. I'm looking forward to you guys getting to know her more

I think why people did not like Clara was because of Amy and Rory. They were so centerfold in the show for so long and too have them gone, I think devastated Clara as a character because we wanted to keep Rory the Roman so much.

I love Clara, but I wouldn’t say she’s my favorite. She does get way too much underserved hate, though. Donna will always be my favorite because she was the most relatable. Then comes Amy/Rory (they are a package deal), and Clara/Martha tied for the third spot. I used to love Rose when I first watched the show, but then I realized that my love for her was all nostalgia. If you go back and watch the whole series you see the weakness of her as a companion. She didn’t help the doctor grow in any substantial way.

I'm also in the minority with Clara being my favorite, i definitely don't like every thing Moffat did with her character though.

I love this season with The Doctor and Bill because it reminds me of the relationship that was between The Doctor and Ace being all Student and Professor, plus I like all the Doctors but the 7th Doctor is my Favorite.

I love how Aaron's favourite companions were from the Moffat era. I know technically River was from both eras but she appeared predominantly in Series 5-7. Nice to see Clara getting some love too.

My favorite is Donna because I think she was the most human and completed the 10th doctor better than the rest.

Clara is your favorite? That's it, we can't be friends.

Companions rated higher than Amy & Rory? That's it, the fight is on! ;-)

I believe Aaron being in the other series is a bit redundant since he's seen them before, but is able to throw in some extra trivia so its worthwhile. The newer reactions for Aaron are new to him and Melanie, which is worth reacting to.

The People fighting the Daleks were The Movellans, a classic series race of Androids who were at war with the Daleks. They first appeared in the 4th Doctor Story, Destiny of the Daleks.
Yes that was Clara's Theme in that scene where the Doctor decided not to erase Bill's memory.
Susan Foreman did appear in The 5 Doctors, played by the same actress from 1963/64, Carol Ann Ford.

It's also a show Aaron and Melanie really enjoy watching and they want to be able to watch the new episodes as they air, as up until now they've both refrained from watching series 10
