Don't know if this was said already but maybe it is both ice and fire. It can melt ice but then freeze it again.

When Viserion was pierced with the ice spear fire and blood was spilling out from the puncture wound. That's one of the reasons I don't think he'll breath fire. because it will set his organs on fire. I voted neither, but if i could pick a second it'd be ice.

It cant breathe either, its physically impossible, it has a hole in its neck and its a zombie, theres no healing. When it got hit in the neck there was a big fire ball cuz it was breathing fire and it started coming out the hole in the neck.

Hate to compare but I feel like if it were GRRM Viserion would breathe fire to bring down the Wall like Eric said, but lets face its a tv show now. Drogon WILL ultimately fight his undead brother. Ergo, that bitch is breathing ice so we get an ice vs fire dragon battle.

I have a feeling it's going to breath blue fire because the show creators need to make it look different somehow even though it doesn't make sense. If it breathed red fire when it was alive, why would it breath ice or blue now?

Being brought back by the night king I don't believe would change what you are. The wights are just undead people. So why would Viserion be any different? Just an undead fire breathing dragon.

Ice, because it wouldn't make sense if viserion was apart of the night kings army, but was a danger to the rest of his army by breathing fire.

I think it's the fact that the Targaryen line inbred for generations to keep bloodlines pure, and due to the fact that Daenerys and Jon have been established for six seasons completely independent of one another so we don't see them as closely related as Jaime and Cersei, who are introduced right off the bat as incestuous siblings.

Ice, reasoning is that at some point he is going to have to fight Drogon. He's completely outclassed if he breaths fire, ice on the other hand may even the playing field. I think the wall will come down due to bran, even a dragon would take an ridiculous amount of time to melt the wall. I don't think that would look good on screen.

Is he able to turn a dead body into a white walker? Like he does with Crasters sons? Because then they can withstand fire and are really cold, so I was think ice, if that was the case. If just a Wight, I'm not to sure.

Fire is what make sense since the only thing the night king does is raise them. He doesn't make them transform.

I have no spoilers, not on this show. But it only makes since that the one who brought the dead dragon back from death had cold powers, so would the dragon. So I feel this is why he\ or she,is now an ice dragon.

Greeting from Ireland! :) It looked like when Viserion was wounded that the blood he was losing was catching fire. This might mean that the dragon's fire abilities come from it's blood? From a practcality stand point, It would makes sense if they have him breath fire since an obvious enemy of the undead so far has been fire! A resurrected dragon isn't so impressive if Drogon and Rhaegal can just use fire to destroy him.

With viserion the night king has both ice and fire magic, so he will breath fire

Ice would be cool (no pun intended) but Viserion is still a fire dragon. They will probably do blue fire to match the White Walker color scheme and to help the audience tell the dragons apart.

Honestly I don't think it would make sense for the NK to kill Viserion and have an ice dragon afterwards when he already has Ice abilities (that we know of). He needs a dragon for a reason so that's why I voted Fire

I think Ice since he revived Viserion in a different manner than a normal Wight. Much more similar to how the Night King made the baby White Walker.
