This episode can't have been easy to edit. It's such a packed episode, but Rhop was also aware of all the hype surrounding it. So, congrats to you Rhop, because that was amazing. Couldn't stop smiling throughout the whole thing. Been looking forward to this a lot.
The reaction was, as anticipated, full of open mouths and joyful shouts and surprised curses. How it should be. :D this is definitely one of those I'll be watching over and over again.

Oh yeah so, Chinese major here: the country Xing is certainly based off of china, esp since the X as an "Sh" sound doesn't appear in Japanese or Korean as far as I know. With that in mind the little girl Mei's pet panda called Xiao Mei, which means "little mei"-- she's basically calling him "mini-me". BUT where it really gets interesting is Ling Yao (the one with the two body guards). His name comes from 灵药 which is the fabled potion of immortality in Chinese legends. Just some connections I found that don't really mean anything super significant but are cool to know

Definitely have Aaron react to this. On the topic of tattoo transmutation you have already seen one who has done that, Scar.

I didn't see you had already posted this so I ended up posting it too. It's an amazing meme! 😂🤣

Would love an Aaron Reaction. Honestly, whenever a creator asks if their audience wants extra content, I have never seen anything other than a resounding Yes.

Fun Fact: Lust and Mustang are actually married in real life

Fun Fact in The Divine Comedy the second circle of Hell holds those whose greatest sin in life was Lust. Their punishment is to be torn apart by fiery winds.

This is explained in the original but they gloss over it in brotherhood, just a bit of chemistry for how mustang does the flame alchemy: the ignition glove has a special fabric that makes a spark under friction, like flint and steel or like a matchbox. Then, he uses alchemy (the circle predrawn on the glove) to change the oxygen density in the air to feed the sparks and create bombs. Now what they don't say is that you actually need an oxydizer AND a fuel for fire, so C + O2 = CO2+ heat; H + O2 = H2O + heat (that's the one he did with lust at the beginning), etc. they never really explain where the fuel comes from. Either it comes from the glove, and it's some sort of fuel that reacts with multiple O2s somehow, OR he is ALSO creating methane or hydrogen or carbon or something from the air. The problem with that is that none of those things exist in large quantities in the air, so he is actually creating them from another element

One interesting fact is most the guy that voices mustang is married to the girl who voices lust. Also an interesting fact is how lust died, because it was at the hands of a womanizer.

As I recall, the English VAs of Lust and Mustang are married, which gives a whole new context to this episode. Especially the lines about getting Lust on her knees

Really hope they record his reaction as well, even if its cut a lot shorter.

2017-06-18 15:26:52 +0000 UTC
You guys pretty much got it, the alchemy has been expanded on a bit more in the other series where they say that Mustang creates flames by changing the oxygen concentration with alchemy then igniting with a spark from the glove. So I always thought that he used the same circle to release oxygen from the water, which would create hydrogen gas as a byproduct.

One of my favorite episodes cause, like you guys said, Mustang is a badass. Glad you guys love him so much now especially since you guys thought he was a bad guy at first lol in terms of his alchemy, his gloves are made of a special material that creates a spark when he snaps and the circle on his gloves amplify it
