Great discussions and theories guys! One thing I loved about this season of Korra is the mystery of finding out who Amon was and what his goals were.

What luck I'm in, 25 minutes of reaction and discussion to dive into. Shame I was no where near a computer when it posted. Dammit, Blind Wave, why isn't your schedule completely based after mine? :P That aside, wow, amazing discussion. Obviously won't comment one way or the other on your speculations, but it was so much fun to listen to them and to your thoughts. I love this episode, I think it showcases Korra's insecurities in a very believable way, and I'm so glad that you guys seem to really enjoy this show so far. (And not just because Korra and Asami both look really good, though there's of course that too!) But yeah, absolutely loved the discussion. It's so much fun, because this type of dynamic is not easy to get. None of you have watched the show, but you can still follow along since you know the world. While for example, FMAB, it took a while for you to really get to the point where you could have longer discussions because you had to first get the world and such. Eric's reaction to seeing that flashback with the older Gaang was me watching that scene, almost exactly. I'm a bit in love with these reactions. Can't imagine spending my Friday evening any better way.

Just a quick comment, when Aang took Ozai's bending away he placed his hands on his forehead and heart. Amon did not do that, his hands were never over Zolt's heart.

As some others have said, tarlok stayed behind with tenzin while Korra was on the island. I thought it was implied that they were waiting together so I'm not sure how he could also be amon?

I always thought the Aang&Ozai light show was a symbolic representation of the battle of wills going on between them in that moment and not something that literally physically happened. Afterwards, Sokka and Suki don't make any mention of seeing the light at all
