I think he will come back as a guest star. Maybe the rag effects were too expensive to use him every episode.

How about... Rory finds an old ritual to restore the rags, but now they are possessed, he can't take them off and they are in control of him - so he comes back for Felicity who killed his whole town, because there was lingering pain and rage? ;)

Rag man looked too much like Promethos for my liking so maybe Rory can do some type of suit deal like the Brandon Routh Character in Legends. Also I called it that Rory and Felcity could be an item ever since she was the cause ofhis parents death story.

maybe they are just nerfing the team a bit (they did just get a meta) preparing for an epic battle soon and will bring him back for a stronger villain or give him to legends

Voted for both guest star and full team member, because honestly, both are definitely gonna end up happening. Every character comes back from freakin death, Rory's just on a vacation.

I'm pretty sure they're setting up a Rory/Felicity romance, so he has to come back. And I wold not be opposed to that.

I think He'll be back every now and then but rumor has it that the CW is thinking about having a mystical DC super hero team and I think Rory would be a great addition to that along with maybe Constantine.
