She obeyed Togane's order and when time comes, she make sure that Togane is dead so that she don't have to obey to this crazy stuff and stay mentally healthy. Which reminds me in season 1, kagari dead, Tsunemori stay silence, But she keeps silence because she knows if she tell others, they would for killed, But Mika is the opposite, she leak the infos and pretend innocent to stay alive, Both of them are realistic.

2025-09-03 18:50:20 +0000 UTCIt was revealed in season 1 that the chief is a robot that Sibyl operates by letting one of its brains control it. In season 1, the chief was being controlled by the guy who was associated with Makishima and this season season it was Togane's mother controlling the chief. My understanding is that if the chief gets destroyed/killed then sibyl will just rebuild the body and get a new brain to control it.

2025-09-03 18:41:12 +0000 UTCThe chief is there because we learned in season 1 that the body is just a vessel for a representative of the Sybil system. They likely just rebuilt it. If you recall in season 1, chief's face melted and it looked like a Terminator. So the gib only killed the brain that was holding the mother of the enforcer. The moment went by quick, but a few episodes ago they did say for the time being the mother would be using that body.
