It uses music the same way Bebop does where it's very prevalent and important in the show but the story isn't actually explicitly about music. And the show is pretty raunchy hence why I mentioned it potentially showing up on the degen tier.

But let me tell you I will never have bought a subscription so fast if I see Space Dandy appear on there. It is my unpopular opinion that Space Dandy is by far Shinichirō Watanabe's best show.

Especially now that the franchise is legally available on Hulu/Disney +

2025-02-13 22:46:56 +0000 UTCIncase anyone is wondering what type of music each show focuses on; Those Snow White Notes for traditional Japanese music, Beck for rock/punk music, Nodame Cantabile for classical music and Carole and Tuesday for a variety of different genres but with a cool sci-fi setting.
