Big UE Plot Update V3 - 34 to 42

When I was told on Wednesday to rest, I got the chance to sit there and ponder a few things, and I came to an uncomfortable conclusion...  I don't ever get writer's block, so I have far too many ideas that I try to incorporate into my series without finishing previous plot points.

I've also been considering the differences in ATM Volume 1 while going through the rewrite and Volume 5... It's crazy looking at how many things I've gone through in the series over the years and just how much content is foreshadowed far into the future.

As I thought about those two points, I realized in UE (I know, heh, my brain and how it works, jumping between so many volumes, plots, and storylines).

In UE I've been rushing things far quicker than I really thought I was until I looked at the timeline and how many things were happening at once because I messed with the introduced plots to 'get the pace moving' and learned I was going about it the wrong way.

It was in response to people wanting a swifter pace, which isn't a problem with people wanting a faster pace—I agree, we do need that—but the way in which I've been going about it needs to change.

I have been introducing so many plot points, trying to get so many things going that it can become an issue with too many things happening at once without letting the plot breathe, which is showing some problems with how much is happening in UE right now.

I need to tie things up better to move forward.  Introducing plots in the past is all fine and good; foreshadowing is good—look how far back One Piece introduced Wano before we got there—but I do believe that can be far too long, lol...

That line of thought makes me look at the World Tree in the UK in TO, and how I have so many things foreshadowed and plotted out that I really need to work on the transition better to each plot and tighten things up.

>.> Get to the point, you long-winded old man!

Right!  RIght!  Ahem!  My bad!  My bad...

In short, I'll be changing UE 34 to 42 to have Erra go to the east instead of the north.  I was setting things up for the east with the desert clans, Iris' older sister's brood, the great nation to the southeast that are draconic-like, etc., and trying to NOW go north, which is... huge, is just... too much.

I'd love to go to the north to explore all the amazing things I've foreshadowed since Volume 1 with Ke'Thra'Ma's path but I need to tighten down things before going crazy up north.

Thanks for giving me the chance to ponder things a little more regarding the plotting, guys!  I'm going through to change the direction from north to east as you read this (probably), and I'm excited to be able to start actually tying things up better.

^_^7  Thanks for being patient with me, guys!  I've been learning things about writing every year, and trying to improve by my mistakes!

Lol, more like it gave me time to reflect. It isn't going to be a huge job to change the last 8 or so chapters; it is just changing north to east so I can just ctrl + F 'north' and shift things to the east. =)

SME

So….. in short, we told you to rest and instead you make more work for yourself? Bad SME! Bad!
