Crazy writing plan

Hi everyone!

I just saw a few other authors like Jason Cipriano and Michael-Scott Earle do exhausting writing sprints, and I am going to try it too.

On the 18th, I am going to lock myself away from the world and see how many words I can write.  I'm hoping I can at least get done with 50% of Nora 1.

What this translates to for you all is that I should have at least a few chapters up within the next week.

In other news the Delvers 3 launch is going well.  I am a little concerned that Amazon has still not added the book to the series, but there isn't anything I can do about that other than wait.

If you all would like to help me with Delvers 3, tell your friends about the book or better yet, leave a review.  As an indie, reviews will make or break me.

Anyway...Cheers!  Wish me luck!

not to be annoying, but where is the audiobook? I thought you said you wanted a simultaneous release?

I don't really get involved in NaNoWriMo. I am already publishing 4 books this year so it's not really necessary. When someone downloads a KU book, it counts as a sale and helps our ranking, but we get paid a lot less for someone reading it. The short version is that Amazon keeps paying authors less for pages read in KU. If you like an author, it helps them a lot to buy the book. I personally make less than half of the royalties on a KU read book than a sale. But like Cameron said below - as long as you always leave reviews, you are helping. If you like the book, you're helping the author. If you hated the book, you might be helping other readers.

I really strongly recommend patrons spend the time to leave a review. Amazon makes it easier to find (and places higher priority in more general searches) to books with reviews. If you've bought the book, leave a short 1-2 sentence review and even that will help. If you're more able, leave a longer review. I understand people probably don't have a ton of time for stuff like that, but if you do it really helps.

Are you going to do NaNoWriMo also or is that not a thing when you're a real writer? Also when do you actually get "paid" for a Kindle Unlimited book. Does it count as a "sale" when someone just downloads it, or when they open it, or do they have to actually read the whole thing before it counts? Also how much do you get paid per kindle unlimited sale vs a regular sale? I'm really curious, also want to know whether I'm screwing authors over by using kindle unlimited vs buying.
