light and shadow; impromptu self portrait session

I looked up from my editing and saw this beautiful pattern of light that was dappling onto the studio floor. This is my first autumn in the studio, and it's been really beautiful watching how the different season has been affecting the way the light falls in the studio. I was feeling incredibly burnt out and exhausted, but I said f*ck it – I need to embrace that light and get in there.
I threw on a piece from the client closet and spent about 10 minutes just rolling around in the light, playing with the way it fell across my skin.
I love these little impromptu sessions that are inspired solely by light. It's always a reminder to keep my eyes open for any light (metaphorical and literal) and to embrace it and play with it when it crosses my path.

You inspired me a few days ago. Recovering from a burn out, I had read that working on your self image is incredibly important. And so I grabbed my camera, one of your videos for reference and go! Very happy with the result, and I feel myself growing in my self-confidence. I'm going to keep this in it and preferably repeat it once a week
