Overcoats thought process

It didn't take me very long to realize I the penguin look was not flattering on Bernard LOL. So I changed his suit colours but I had to make adjustments because I'm working with very few colours:
But then with the above iteration I kinda... missed the balance the first one had, with the shapes and colours. I was playing around then I tried adding a third hue:
I actually got attached to this because I like the idea of Bernard as the red oni and Teo as the blue... but I definitely lost the general feel of the original which I missed
So I made this to try and capture all the elements I liked from each past iteration and I think it worked out more or less?
but in the end I really liked the minimalism without the red, which is why I ended up with the top anyway. I know there's not a lot of difference between each version so I wonder if this is even interesting. At least I hope you can see how neurotic i am about my illustrations if you didn't already LOL
