It explained in the scriptbook that sunjae didn't killed himself, the first comment is true, the last eps 8 show what was actually happened in Ep1. But he unable to fight back due to his medication.

2024-07-28 16:52:48 +0000 UTCin each timeline despite im sol trying to change her future a lot of things happen regardless and are hard to change - such as the drunk man trying to take her phone changing the original date of the accident, however the same accident pretty much happened at a later date. and how in her second time going back - although she doesn't go to the reservoir, she is still kidnapped, but her actions of taking his keys save her from being paralysed and her accident moves to a year later (where she doesn't end up being injured because the location changes and she isn't being chased by his car). Just like how Sunjae fought the stalker guy in the original timeline and hit him on the head with a rock, the situation in the second timeline is roughly the same (fights him and hits him on the head with a brick at the abandoned building). I feel like the question of whether fate is predetermined or if its something you decide for yourself sums up this show.

He was taking medication, they made sure to show it in his hotel room as the camera panned to the balcony. His depression changed his relationship with his friends and bandmates, they did not get along. In hyuk (Sunjae's bff) called Sol when she came back from time traveling that first time and told Sol Sunjae always felt so guilty about what happened. Sunjae had blamed himself for what happened to Im Sol. He regretted not waking her up. In first timeline he definitely committed suicide BUT when the synopsis for this drama came out before it aired there was alot of drama and protest because ppl felt a kpop idol committing suicide from depression hit too close to Shinee's member Jonghyun so people were calling for a boycott. I think production added that bell sound to make it seem like he was killed versus suicide because when the bell rings he doesn't react to it nor look towards the door.

In the past, he saved Im Sol when she was kidnapped and got hit by the car, then fell off the reservoir, and ended up being paralyzed. That’s the original timeline you saw at the beginning of episode 7. In this timeline, Sun Jae jumped off to save her, and the taxi driver drove past but ended up coming back to fight Sun Jae. I think that in the original timeline, we thought he ended his life by jumping off the balcony, but he was actually murdered. **THE SECOND TIMELINE** is actually the first time she time-traveled, which is when the kidnapping accident happened. Instead of being hit by the car and falling off the reservoir, she got away. That’s where you saw Kim Tae Sung’s dad, the lieutenant, show up in his car with Sun Jae. Because of this, the future changed, and there weren’t any news reports because it didn’t happen. However, since she knew what happened to her in the original timeline, when she got back and everyone mentioned the accident, she thought it was the accident from the original timeline. However, it was the one you saw in this episode where the taxi driver came again to kidnap her a year later. So, instead of 2008, it’s now 2009. So actually , when she time-traveled the second and third time, the timeline continued from where we left off from the first time travel (so things continue; it’s actually not a different timeline like you said in the video). The only thing that changed is the bit where she goes back to the future, when they developed feelings for each other in the future episode 8. Because she time-traveled again during her third time back to 2009, the memories of the future that she had with Sun Jae only stayed with her. For Sun Jae, whatever happened in the future of episode 7/8 no longer exists. The second timeline continues for him. So that make it only 2 timelines so far ( the original + the second timeline that created from 1st ,2nd and 3rd time travel ) Sorry for the long explanation ❤️❤️❤️❤️

She only has 3 chances to time travel and she is currently at her last time she can go back to the past (that's why her watch changed to "1").

Gee is by SNSD aka Girls Generation. One of the SNSD members, Yuri made a cameo in one of the early episodes where In Hyuk stops to get her autograph on the back of his shirt on the way to Eclipse's radio appearance. Also that outfit that guy was wearing to confess his feelings to that girl before he had to run to the bathroom, an iconic fit from the Kdrama Classic Boys over Flowers that come out around that time as well. The fit was worn by the Male Lead character.

To a certain degree, the HS and college life they show as fillers, portray her second chance in life. From Ep 4, she doesn’t see Sun Jae anymore as her idol. She is no longer a super fan but she’s now Sol, who fell in love with Sunjae. Her second chance in life to be that young again and to get to know and fall in love with Sunjae. Obviously there’s the stress of keeping him alive in these different timelines but yes I love that you guys pointed it out that no matter what timeline they’re in, there’s always a common or parallel theme in it 😍
