The original timeline is where he liked her but she did not know him till she became a fan later on in life, thus the only interactions they had were the first meeting with the umbrella and renting the movie/ him saving her during the accident/ calling her on the radio/ meeting as adults on the bridge and following her home. The second timeline which is the current events never happened in the original since she did not know him so she is currently changing the past by having all these interactions with him.

Because of that she did not want him to be confused by the older version of her, but at the end when she remembered the first time they meet, she realized that he liked her even before she came back to the past. Which confirmed he liked the younger version of her as well as the current older version (in the younger body)

When she asked her friend for advice on how to handle the situation, Sol said that her own feelings didn't matter because she's leaving soon (aka going back to the future), and the young/original Sol from the past didn't know Sunjae. So if Sol accepts Sunjae's feelings, he would be happy for a little while but then if Sol goes back to the future, the original/young Sol who doesn't have feelings for Sunjae (or the memories of them together) would be back and we saw how she reacted to Sunjae when Sol went back to the future in an earlier episode 😅

2024-07-16 00:19:48 +0000 UTCI think you guys may have mixed up the timelines, in the original timeline she did not notice him, so her accident had nothing to do with him, him on the other hand who had a crush on her helped her. After coming back to the past, everything she does keeps changing the original timeline, her going out to meet him in the rain this night is not really his fault in a way, because remember the taxi driver already knows her address and he was clearly on his way to her house, he just so happened to have met her on the way, so even if she had chosen to stay home, he probably would have still gone there to look for her. She had only seen him initially as an idol who had saved her from killing herself in the beginning. Not someone she can be romantically be involved with. She doesn’t think that would be possible coz she even said it in this episode to her friend, “Why would a dazzling boy like Sunjae, like me?”. Plus she even friendzoned herself to him right from the start. That’s why she got bowled over when she heard that recording where Sunjae said he likes her. Her friend compounded that thought by saying Sunjae probably only liked Sol coz Sol bulldozed her way into Sunjae’s life as a major fan of his. Why Sol couldn’t accept Sunjae’s feelings when he finally confessed in person to her. The previous episodes have shown glimpses of Sol falling for Sunjae as well (esp when she found out he saved her from her bridge accident) but she doesn’t think she could act on those feelings coz she doesn’t think Sunjae could think of her in a romantic way. She thinks Sunjae only likes her coz she “dangled” herself in front of him a lot. But the end of this episode changed all that. She finally realized Sunjae had liked her from the getgo. From their very first meeting. That that famous song he wrote, is about her. Have liked her way before she “bulldozed” herself into his life when she came back to the past. Also, remember that episode where she tried to write on the calendar the day of her accident and it kept getting erased? I forgot what episode. I believe episode 3, I think. She ended up just circling the calendar date instead. They already had shown us before that this would be the day of her accident from the original timeline. Sorry, I hope you guys don’t mind I had to point these out. Again, I love both your reactions. Been enjoying it for a while 🥰

2024-07-15 23:09:58 +0000 UTCI think you guys are getting something things confused so just some clarification: whatever happens or is happening in this timeline has no relation to the original timeline with the naive Sol. So the part where she went out into the rain at the end to go to Sun-jae, that never even happened in the original timeline because they weren’t even involved with each other because he had a one sided crush and she never paid attention to him/lowkey didn’t even know him like that, hence why she never knew they were neighbors or even met before until she came back in time with this timeline. She is now connecting things.
