Really Happy to have Multiple series on the channel again! I've been looking forward to this for so long, It's been so wonderful to return to Monster and Doctor Who, really missed those. Those two will remain locked in till completion, under no circumstances will they be shelved again. It's an important first step to take care of all unfinished business.
Hunter x Hunter
Once it gets close to the end, I will make a post about follow up content, so I can gauge interest. The two options being HXH (1999) or continuing the journey through Manga Review videos. I definitely don't want this to be the end of HXH on the channel! Though I think it's very important to specify that neither would be immediately after. There will be a break, and it might be quite an extended one. All of 2024 was just HXH, so I definitely want to make sure I cover a variety of content in 2025, especially a return to live action stuff and gaming.
The Immediate follow up to HXH will be through a Poll. This will be for a shorter Anime, and I can see a mix of older and recent ones being an option, stuff like Frieren, Pluto, Heavenly Delusion. I want to have the replacement locked in at a certain point, so the day HXH 148 goes up, the first episode of the new Anime will go up as well. Good chance that the poll will go live by the end of February.
Chimera Ant Arc - Wrap up video
Decided that I will be doing a separate Chimera Ant Arc video as well at some point, most likely after the conclusion of the Anime. Wrap up type video with fave episodes ranked, discussion about fave characters of the arc, and just further discussion for the the arc as a whole. Should be good first run for that type of video.
Doctor Who
As many of you know by now, my coverage for the series will be ending with the Capaldi era, but I will make a video for Jodie's first full episode as well! and of course I will continue to watch it off screen.

Yep, it’s pretty high on my list. Going to cover a few shorter live action shows before I dive into BCS, it’s a long commitment.

Also, do you plan on covering a manga sometimes this year or you don't have any concrete plans yet?

Also I would love both reactions to 1999 version anime and manga reviews from the very beggining until present time. I'm not sure if you are aware you should start the manga with volume 0 which covers Kurapika's backstory.

I was just re-watching a certain fight. It's currently the longest anime on his list with around 430~ canon episodes total so It might take him 2-3 years depending on how many episodes he watches a week but it's doable. I hope he doesn't drop it it's such a classic story! fingers crossed.

2025-02-11 08:51:53 +0000 UTCHoping for a HxH manga review, although deciding the format might be a little difficult since if you go volume by volume you would essentially only have 6 videos with a lot of very dense content to discuss in each one, but also only reviewing one chapter at a time would not work that well, so maybe you could review half a volume of the manga per video, some compromise inbetween

2025-02-11 08:43:33 +0000 UTCI think a whole volume review would be too dense; I previously suggested a review every 2 chapters, (the anime averages at 3 chapters per episode) so we would get 5 reviews every volume for a more in-depth look at more important moments that might be buried if it's in an overall volume, just my two cents of course Im would decide the best format. :)

And about options for a short anime replacement I already said before but I guess I'll repeat. Madoka Magica. It's a true classic at this point, really short (12 eps + Movie) and it's the best way to introduce you to SHAFT's unique and creative style. Although there's no way it's winning against Frieren. Something like Pluto could be nice but it makes more sense to do after Monster. I liked Heavenly Delusion but it's a ongoing series and I think it's worth to wait for more anime content of it in the future before starting it on the channel. Same with Frieren tbh but it has a lot to chew on already and Season 2 is already announced. But it won't be released for at least a year probably, maybe end of 2025 at best. And then it's definitely not gonna be a shorter series. Tbh it's already not a short one, 28 eps. P.S. Looking through your polls here seems like the most worthy candidate would be Steins;Gate. It's always been the next in line after those you've already watched by now. Monster, FMAB, NGE. Also Mob Psycho but it's a bit on a longer side (37 eps + OVAs) while S;G is 24 eps +OVA. If Frieren fits 'Shorter series' criteria then S;G does as well. And let's be honest it's probably the only opponent that can stand a little chance against Frieren even though it's most likely still gonna be crushed xD

I am one of the very few people who really didn't enjoy that one and I haven't even finished my first watchthrough. Though maybe you can throw in the poll something like Dandadan or Delicious in Dungeon to make it a little bit more competetive haha Though DiD I would simply recommend to wait for the second season cause that one will finish the manga. It's a story I would say that better consumed in one go

My first question would be, say you're all caught up (this applies to any show/anime), what would be your stance on viewers throwing out theories in the comments? Would you see it as another way to engage with the audience, or would it damper the experience seeing millions of other theories being thrown at you? Side note: I know it's quite a long ways until you get to it, but I am eagerly awaiting Better Call Saul.
