Angel OC WIP 3: Final head test pattern

Hello everybunny!
These days we've been working on Angel's head pattern. We liked the first test as a base, but we needed to make some changes to it.

 First, we made a test with a wider gusset, because we thought that was what the snout needed to look better. We also made it a bit shorter. But then it turned out too big compared to the head. After thinking about it, we realised that what we needed was to make the tip rounder, not the snout wider. So we did a third test with the gusset with the same width as the first one, but with the rounded tip. We also took the chance to change the forehead. The first test was good, but we needed more space for the hair and ears. With the first forehead, it would look cluttered and short. 

And now, with this third test, we got the pattern we wanted! Maybe the difference can't be appreicated in the photos,  but in person it looks more like a canine snout with the correct shape. also, now it has space in the forehead for all the hair and ears.

We tried to draw the face on the test, and despite being a draft, it already looks adorable ^^

apart from Angel, we wanted to tell you that this week we will post the Pikachu reward patterns! We hope you enjoy them a lot. We're finishing preparing them, and as soon as they're ready, we will write a post announcing it before sending the patterns.

Finally, we want to tell you that we have started working in one of the secret projects that we can't talk about for now. We will be working on it for a few weeks, since the deadline is in June. But we will work on other stuff at the same time. So we will still post here, don't worry!

Estos días hemos seguido trabajando en el patrón de la cabeza de Ángel. La primera prueba nos gustaba como base, pero había cambios que necesitábamos hacer.

Primero hicimos una segunda prueba con el gusset (tira central) más ancho, porque pensábamos que era lo que le faltaba al morro para verse mejor. También lo acortamos un poco. Pero entonces quedaba muy ancho y grande en proporción. Y tras pensar un poco más, nos dimos cuenta de que lo que necesitaba en verdad era que la punta de la nariz fuera más redondeada, no tan en punta. Así que hicimos una tercera prueba con el grueso de la primera, pero la punta más redondeada. También aprovechamos para ir puliendo la forma de la frente. Aunque la primera prueba parece correcta, necesitamos que el cráneo sea más grande y elevado ya que le tienen que caber bien las piezas del pelo y las orejas. Si lo dejábamos con la primera frente, quedará todo muy bajo y sin volumen.  

Y ahora sí, con esta tercera prueba, hemos conseguido el patrón que buscábamos! Puede que en las fotos no se note mucha la diferencia, pero en persona se le ve un morro más canino y con la forma correcta. Además que ahora en la cabeza tiene la superficie necesaria para añadir los mechones de pelo y las orejas sin problema.

Aprovechamos para hacer un dibujo de la cara y aunque es a mano alzada, ya se ve súper adorable ^^   

Aparte de hablar de Ángel, queríamos comentaros que esta semana subiremos ya los patrones de Pikachu de recompensa! Esperamos que los disfrutéis mucho. Estamos terminando de prepararlos, y en cuanto estén, haremos un post anunciándolo antes de enviar los patrones.

Por último, también os comentamos que hemos empezado a trabajar en uno de los proyectos secretos que no podemos de momento enseñar. Estaremos un par de semanas con ello, pues lo tenemos que entregar en Junio. Pero iremos haciendo el resto de trabajo a la vez. Así que seguiremos subiendo post por aquí, no os preocupéis!
