One rather shocking thing about the vault songs is they are songs that were rejected for Red. There are several songs that are good enough to be singles.

They were with Taylor till the Red era! Before the Red era, Taylor only have two background singers, Caitlin Evanson who were also a violinist, and Liz Huett. I'm so glad Tay has invited them back to recreate this original version! Their vocal made me feel like back in the Fearless and Speak Now era!

2021-11-15 12:56:06 +0000 UTCFanatastic video! I loved all these vault songs and I love your reactions! I too was surprised that the Fearless vault tracks feel sadder than the Red vault tracks — I did not see that coming. I woke up having “Nothing New” stuck in my head today + frankly “Message in a Bottle” + “The Very First Night”, I’m like “how did she lock these bops away in a vault for 10 years?!” “Forever Winter” really got me — I recently celebrated an anniversary of a good friend’s suicide + I was not prepared to get that song thrown at me. “I Bet You Think About Me” and “Run” are super cute. And psyched like you to finally get “Better Man” + “Babe” (and love the “promises, promises” addition to Babe). And of course, the 10 minute “All Too Well” was everything (I can’t believe she cut that 3rd verse either - it’s so good!) Thanks for the vid + hope you’re having a great day!
