Clouded Soul - Suyin Mei Concept Design
Added 2023-08-22 23:55:56 +0000 UTCThe second harem member is a wandering mercenary named Suyin Mei, who is hired to kill Jun by the Sasei clan for his actions in the first arc. She is not one armed, that's just to make the concept easier to present.
Mei was the eldest daughter of a famed Yiansha-slaying clan, but was tricked in her childhood by one and wound up alone in the world save for an unwelcome guest who Mei struggles against to this very day. Ever since, she's been struggling non-stop to survive and everything she earns is spent on talisman paper and magic ink to keep her seals fresh.
She's a very quiet and solemn person, but deceptively more kind and gentle than she looks. Her life will get a little bit more comfortable when in their battles they discover that Jun's Justice aspect is supereffective against demonic influence and as long as he's around he can keep the worst of it at bay.
The specifics of her arc are still being figured out right now but the end result is that Mei becomes Jun's soft-spoken, extremely devoted designated onee-san/bodyguard. She's a little dense at times and deferential to Miao, taking the tigress's words at face value more often than not and treating her with more respect than Miao probably deserves.
The sword is a WIP - especially the scabbard. If it's not obvious, I didn't fucking try on that part at all lmao. The artist is going to improve on it I'm sure.
