Update
Added 2023-06-22 22:18:01 +0000 UTCHey guys, just letting you all know about upcoming plans. The launch for Write What You Know vol 1 did decently well and I'm already starting on the outline for vol 2. While still keeping to the 4 chapter format, I plan to make this one a little longer. I'm hoping to make the outline 12k words or so compared to the 8-9k the first one was, but we'll see what happens. My girlfriend still doesn't have a job at the moment and money still isn't great so I'm not going to be progressing on anything I used a draft writer for, and the current amazon climate is making me skeptical about getting back to Coye- which is fine for now. I'm currently enjoying getting to take things slow and work on smaller projects.
To get WWYK done so fast I didn't do rough drafts at all, instead just finetuning it in my grammarly run through. For Coye it was always first draft > second > grammarly, and for smaller stories I think doing it this way is fine. I don't feel like the quality dipped much at all from doing it in this style so I'm eager to keep playing around and releasing more titles. I'm at period in life where I don't really want to work on anything huge and financially I just want to keep expanding the body of my work. Maybe if I keep practicing this style, then I'll get comfortable doing bigger stories like Coye without a second draft, but that's a bit away. I'd like to think I'm more experienced than I was when doing RotGM and I wouldn't suffer from the same issues by writing one draft like I did there, since that problem was more lack of outline planning and not refinement, but this is all just something I'm pondering.
So, yeah. Immediate plan is WWYK#2, I have ideas for at least the next 5 or 6 of these things. When I have enough I'll do some collected editions with bonus chapters. I also might dabble in some other small ideas here and there and see if anything sticks. Like I said, I'm just trying to increase the amount of books I have on offering so that my recurring revenue is more stable, but I also don't want to compromise on quality or write about anything I'm not actually interested in doing. I have a couple of ideas for other short stories, but we'll see how it all pans out. I hope you will all continue supporting and looking forward to this experimental phase of mine before I eventually get back to the big stuff. This is all for building a bigger safety net so I even CAN work on the bigger stuff, so I hope that makes sense.

I am happy to hear things with WWYK went ok and I hope they only get better. I can't wait to see what comes next out of this new phase.
