Damn, I didn't know about the Code, but if the reasons Hyppolita stopped following it are the same in canon... Damn. She basically considers Humanity unworthy of being saved, because of the very same flaw Amazons are supposed to help them with. That's like, the lobotimzed cousin of a "catch 22"...

2025-11-27 22:47:18 +0000 UTCWhile I don't disagree with Lucien's point to Hippolyta about Grail giving him a choice about accepting her services (vs. Hippolyta just treating her servitude to Lucien as a fait accompi) IN PRACTICE, I do want to point out that Grail is - ironically - just doing the same thing the former Queen of the Amazons did but with an air of actual choice being available. Because let's be honest...Lucien is stuck with one choice - taking Grail into his service and finding a way to tame her - or he's going to have to kill her to ensure Earth is safe. Well, until Darkseid uses it as a justification to invade/invade again, I mean.
