I mean, yeah, kinda. But also, the fact stands that now SHE is no longer allowed on Themyscyrra on account of being in a mans service. Which means, he would have made and absolute ass out of himself, because not only did he "force" the Queen to abdicate, he then also "forced" her previous subjects to punish their no no longer queen.

And questioned her honor if she refused, because she swore to follow my orders and the first order I give is refused? That's not only unwilling that would be outright disobedient.
