2025-06-05 22:45:11 +0000 UTCAnother fun fact Mike - I hear what you’re saying about London and old castles etc but I’m from a small town in Yorkshire called Pontefract and the castle here had thicker walls than the castle in London and was never officially ’conquered’. In fact the people of Pontefract got so sick of people trying to conquer it they tore it down themselves and only ruins remain but you can still visit them today. King Richard the second also died in Pontefract castle and it also appeared in Shakespeares play ‘Richard II’ - sorry for getting all historical but thought you might find it interesting. I know you guys like educational videos too I’m sure you would find the history of Yorkshire fascinating 😊
