Him and his wife were listening to it and his wife said "He sounds a bit like you" and that was it. Apparently it was a real guy who just stayed locally to Bob and he had no idea who he was.

So the essence of the story may be true, but with some made up additions. I think he gets as much fun out of all the ridiculous names and story elements he comes up with as we do!!
