Strictly is our version of Dancing with the stars I think. Celebrities ballroom dancing etc. Ecstasy is pills lol

Sam Dilks

I think it’s safe to say the accents aren’t Micky’s ‘very special set of skills’!

The clip of him on "life's too short" is my favourite performance from him lol. "I'm always making lists..."

Blink More

The question about Inbetweeners and Fawlty Towers gets asked and answered most days. They alternate shows a season at a time. Fawlty Towers and Inbetweenwers will return soon as will (sadly) Still Game.

Update your Patreon membership list please👍 I also feel that reacting to the last series of Fawlty Towers and the rest of the Inbetweeners would help you out. Only Fools and Horses is another must 👍

True Mike, when I hear Liam Neeson all I think of is Qui-Gon Jinn. Even though I've seen him in loads of other films he'll always be Qui-Gon 😊

White Dwarf

Ecstasy is MDMA, Strictly is Strictly Come Dancing

Summer Holiday was one of Cliffs movies and the song came from the film. My mum was a big fan. She went with her friend to see it and ducked down to hide when it was over so they could watch it again. They watched it 3 times and never got caught lol

Karen Campbell

Also “Summer Holiday” a famous Cliff Richard song

In fairness to Americans… most of the American guests on Graham Norton are pretty interesting- he gets all of the big names on there but I’m sure Mickey was referring to a handful of them that aren’t interesting 🤣👍🤷‍♂️

Ianoo23

He went out with tennis player sue barker for a while back in the day.

Superclarky666

He’s very popular with old women who used to throw underwear at him back in the 60s. Whether my mum was one of those is unconfirmed……

Julian T

Sir Cliff was the British version of Elvis. He was a megastar back in the day. I saw him in concert a few times when I was a kid, my mum was a big fan 😂

FYI: ecstasy = MDMA = molly (US slang). Double drop = taking 2 pills at once (normally refers to ecstasy). "Strictly' = Strictly Come Dancing, a celebrity ballroom dancing talent show. Bill Bailey, the comedian, famously won it with Ote Mabuse (the Black South African professional dancer and all-round lovely woman who has appeared on Graham Norton and Would I Lie To You) a few years back.

OrdinaryDave

His most bizarre appearance was on Jonesy’s Jukebox, Steve Jones of the Sex Pistols’ radio show in LA. http://www.jonesysjukebox.com/ppodcast/jonesys-jukebox-episode-12

I had to sit through Cliff back vin 1990 when I went to Knebworth for the Nordoff and Robbins concert, it was a great line up, I went to see Floyd and the surprise of the day was to see Jimmy Page and Robert Plant play for the first time since their rift, but I still can't get the image of Cliff in a pink suit dancing on a piano!

Jason Bonner

Can’t get bored of Taken, it’ll be like a non-Christmas version of Die Hard where you can just watch it once a year forever.

Terrahawk

Surely Schindler's List is Neeson's best performance and most famous movie?

Moody Marco

Mickey referenced ‘septics’ when talking about his fellow guest of the Norton show. This is an example of rhyming slang; Septic Tanks = Yanks. I’m not sure if it’s Cockney Rhyming Slang (Mickey is a Cockney). I first heard mention of it when I was living in Australia in the 1980s, and the Aussies do have their own rhyming slang. I was once called a ‘To and from’, which rhymes with Pom. A Pom or Pommie is how most Aussies refer to English people.

Here's a clip of The Graham Norton Show with Micky and Sir Cliff :) https://youtu.be/xAIKdw2VFm4?si=9IB_tUa1esfOdeT7

Pound Store Elvis, that is just perfect. That actually made me lol.

Brucey Mitchell (Cheeky)

Can see in Mike's eyes the dreams of one day a RNTV Holywood Star, walking the red carpets with his latest jacket, promoting his new Cage Fighting movie, while Jess is glammed up with that gold sparkle suit and shoes from Brandon Flowers (The Killers), linked into Mike, pouting and posing....Next step World Regenaration, i mean Domination.

Cliff Richards is a singer that's been very famous since the dinosaurs ruled the earth....feels like it anyway. One of his famous songs was 'summer holiday'. There's been speculation of his sexuality for years as he has never appeared to have a boyfriend or girlfriend.

AngieG

Strictly is short for Strictly Come Dancing, which is the BBC’s Dancing With The Stars. Sir Cliff Richard was probably the UK’s first pop star (a sort of homegrown Pound Store Elvis), who pre-dated The Beatles. Micky referenced Summer Holiday, which was an early 60s movie starring Cliff Richard. Cliff never married, and his personal life has always been a mystery. Unusually for British pop stars in the 1960s, and even more so now, he announced that he was a Christian. He’s well into his 80s, but has looked after himself 😉.

Thomas

You guys call it dancing with the stars in America and he said ecstasy as an ecstasy pills

Fred bates

I mean, seeing you guys on Graham Norton would be interesting, a lot more interesting if Robbie Williams was the music guest......errrmmmmm flight back home for one.....

Brucey Mitchell (Cheeky)

Strictly, in the US is called dancing with the stars, and Ecstasy is MDMA the party drug of choice!
