2025-03-19 18:25:16 +0000 UTCI've added a live radio session from the current Mercury prize winning band - English Teacher - to the playlist. I know there's a queue and voting system, but wouldn't it be interesting for all here as well as Mike and Jess to see the sublime talents of the current UK music scene? Proof that the kids are continuing the legacy of the Indie scene - plus, they sing a song about KEXP on KEXP - legends.

2025-03-19 17:40:11 +0000 UTCFine - You didn't give me a reason for being here - I can get you on YouTube - Subscription removed - Goodbye then.

2025-03-18 06:31:32 +0000 UTCOur Patreon page clearly states what you can expect to get from your $5 per month. From these messages and the DM you sent it seems you didn't read that and only signed up for one reason alone. When you didn't get that you started going on a rampage. Brucey was just trying to talk some sense into you. He's been very respectful and you've been nothing but volatile. I've refunded you the past three months. No one is forcing you to be here. We wish you all the best.

2025-03-17 14:08:24 +0000 UTCOK give me a reason for being here?
Eric Tull
2025-03-17 13:28:56 +0000 UTCWhile i fully understand that each of us want Jess and Mike to react to our individual requests, there are almost 1400 paid members here and the "dance monkey, dance" approach would be chaotic and an impossible way to run the channel. The voting system may disappoint a few from time to time but it's very quick to get over and move on. Anything not picked does get kept on the playlists so will come around again. :)

2025-03-17 09:47:32 +0000 UTCDisagree, given the trauma their family has suffered recently. In which case, I think it is only fair to point this out. But, it is their decision either way.
Thomas
2025-03-17 09:15:24 +0000 UTCThink the point is to listen first then look them up with this particular band
Theloyalmuppet
2025-03-17 08:59:28 +0000 UTCI’m not the first person to point this out, but it is worth advising Mike and Jess to read up on Love Will Tear Us Apart before deciding to record a reaction if, as seems possible, it wins the poll. I voted for this song, but we would all understand if you went for another option once you read the back story.
Thomas
2025-03-17 08:19:58 +0000 UTCThen there is no point me paying money to be member
Eric Tull
2025-03-17 07:53:51 +0000 UTCWell thanks for that. I envisage not being here long then. I'm used to getting things for my money. Goodbye!
Eric Tull
2025-03-17 06:29:47 +0000 UTCThere should be a pinned post with the links to the YouTube playlists. You click through and add the playlists and then you can save YouTube videos to those playlists. For the polls the choices are randomly selected and voted on by us.

2025-03-16 13:35:48 +0000 UTCjust wondering, who exactly is picking these songs? :/ is their a suggestion box or thread? Hope you're both well anyway
Demceez
2025-03-16 13:27:16 +0000 UTCIf it's not put on the playlist as per the home page info then it won't get reacted to. The system seems to be working quite well so far :)
Brucey Mitchell (Cheeky)
2025-03-16 12:02:51 +0000 UTCTheir reaction will be interesting.
Thomas
2025-03-16 10:13:30 +0000 UTCAs a Leicester fan Daz I can confirm the prem ain’t all that this season 😂
Mark Sanders
2025-03-16 10:03:58 +0000 UTCGood stuff, actually looks like it's pulling away as the winner now
Richard Stokes
2025-03-16 10:00:01 +0000 UTCI had already done so, Richard. I shamelessly jumped on the bandwagon when I saw how the vote was changing.
Thomas
2025-03-16 07:36:29 +0000 UTCNone of the above. Please stop boring me. How about a tribute to the woman that inspired four hit records? LAYLA. The fabulous Pattie Boyd, part of the Beatles legend. She is 81 years old tomorrow 17th March and still looks fabulous. Pattie is beautiful outside and inside. Layla (Kitāb Alf laylah wa-laylah) is a book from One thousand Arabian Nights where a man falls in love with his best friend's wife. The rock classic LAYLA is by Derek and the Dominoes. Here Eric Clapton (Derek) pours out his love for his friend George Harrison's wife Pattie Boyd and wrote this. A song about a real love story. Copy and play https://youtu.be/-Z2ZLF4fWrQ
Eric Tull
2025-03-16 07:29:56 +0000 UTCI picked Genesis because the official video is a humourous look at the hypocrisy of some southern state (USA) evangelist preachers.
jumpjet
2025-03-16 01:07:51 +0000 UTCOk so it's between Joy Division and Motorhead tied, can interest you in swaying back to Joy Division Thomas to push it over the line?!
Richard Stokes
2025-03-16 00:48:46 +0000 UTCMatt Cardle voted winner of X-Factor, I lost hope in folk years ago
Jason Bonner
2025-03-15 23:54:46 +0000 UTCAnd that hurt all other content. The algorithm only wanted to push Indonesian and Filipino content.
RegenerationNationTV
2025-03-15 23:51:43 +0000 UTCMike your most viewed content involves the Philippines. International is fine. Confused dot com.
Rob G
2025-03-15 23:45:40 +0000 UTCShit, you've just given me a terribe flashback to that year, 1991. I quite liked Mr Adams up until then.
Fordy7169
2025-03-15 23:35:13 +0000 UTCA lot to catch up on, but I'll touch on this quickly. We started our channel with being very multinational. The algorithm didn't like it, and while we enjoyed it we like what we have going on now a lot better. No language barrier is very nice. If we were to go into other regions again then we would do it on another channel.
RegenerationNationTV
2025-03-15 23:24:42 +0000 UTCThese suggestions are great but I do think a more multinational selection would be better. I know I’ve discovered a lot of artists that I’ve never heard of through this process. Having a purely British selection is kinda playing to the crowd as it were?
Rob G
2025-03-15 23:21:45 +0000 UTCThe EC song is very sad and a bit of a downer which may spoil the rest of your day/evening.
Fordy7169
2025-03-15 19:03:15 +0000 UTCNothing like an open mind, LOL
Fordy7169
2025-03-15 19:01:09 +0000 UTCHonest and heartfelt, genuine reactions are what Mike and Jess do, the reason why we love them so much. I'm sure they will be just fine :)
Brucey Mitchell (Cheeky)
2025-03-15 18:50:14 +0000 UTCI was fully expecting Clapton to be winning this. It’s so difficult to predict what the RN posse will vote for. I went for Motörhead, just because the Clapton song is so unbelievably sad. It’s essential listening though for sure.
Julian T
2025-03-15 18:42:50 +0000 UTCIf Clapton wins this please please please watch the Unplugged live version
Julian T
2025-03-15 18:36:44 +0000 UTCI’m from London I just liked that whole music scene. And the city itself tbh. You’ll come up as long as you don’t drop to the playoff spots.
Terrahawk
2025-03-15 18:13:23 +0000 UTCWell, I searched and loads have reacted to this - ha. But still, I don't watch many reaction channels so it's still my choice.
Andy
2025-03-15 17:54:32 +0000 UTCI can see why Motorhead is winning, but I kind of feel like Slow Hand Clapton doesn't get many reactions. I think it's a "nice" backstory too - it's about losing his 4 year old son.
Andy
2025-03-15 17:51:50 +0000 UTCThe five-option poll is better. You just need to rig it so that none of the stuff I hate such as 70s classic rock, prog rock, heavy metal and disco doesn’t get included. Just punk, new wave and Britpop will be ok. Thanks 😂
Thomas
2025-03-15 17:42:31 +0000 UTCI'm a Leeds fan so it's very much the wrong part of the season for me for that to win, sweat will be dripping down me till the vote is over 🤣
Daz Parker
2025-03-15 17:08:44 +0000 UTCI've lost faith in the whole process...Bryan Adams' "(Everything I Do) I Do It for You", was No.1 for 16 weeks, and this is why I find these polls so depressing.
Jason Bonner
2025-03-15 16:58:45 +0000 UTCJoy Division for me. We need some kind of Madchester win.
Terrahawk
2025-03-15 16:46:44 +0000 UTCHey everyone, given the circumstances, these first two choices might be a bit much. Let’s be mindful of the timing and show some kindness. Thanks
Yan Beck
2025-03-15 16:42:23 +0000 UTCThe 3 songs that are the top 3 here are all absolute classics... Can't argue with Ace of Spades, it's a game changer. I personally went for Joy Division. Hopefully it wins a poll in the near future.
BlakeK80DrumCovers
2025-03-15 16:27:07 +0000 UTCEven though I am wearing a Joy Division T-shirt, I voted for Clapton as its back story will make for a powerful reaction, and I say that as a father. 💔
Thomas
2025-03-15 16:26:12 +0000 UTCIf you see the Eric Clapton video, read the description on the video first, itll tell you what it is about
Danny
2025-03-15 16:23:38 +0000 UTCThe video can be confusing for Tears in Heaven, the song was used in a movie and this is the video for that movie. His live versions are better as the song's meaning has nothing to do with the movie it was used for
Neil
2025-03-15 16:21:35 +0000 UTCJust a warning, if Eric Clapton wins you’ll need some thing to wipe your tears especially if you look up what the song is about
Erica
2025-03-15 16:15:38 +0000 UTCI do prefer the more condensed list of 5
